Close the app, go order at the restaurant. Was excited to get the app but too basic of an order option to be missing. I had been wanting to try CE as there is now one fairly close to me. I tried this on a road trip returning from Denver, we stopped in Plainview. I wanted something that was not too heavy as we were driving quite a distance. I asked what was smallest order and was told it was the kids meal of a chicken strip. It was very dry. I don’t care for gravy and would have preferred ranch dip but it was not offered. The French fries were good. Now back at home in San Antonio, I’m looking at the menu and I would have probably chosen a one piece regular fried chicken, which looked good from what I saw others were eating. I forgot to add that I was charged extra for not using cash. I didn’t see this policy posted anywhere in the restaurant. ### 2/5 — Order online, must go inside to pickup! *2025-04-24, version 1.44.0* First time I've ever encountered this! Used the app to order. Waited my turn at the drive-thru only to be informed all pickup orders MUST be picked up inside! WTH? There's a reason I ordered it to be picked up. I'm disabled. Food is great, no issue there, but to require online orders be picked up inside is, in my opinion, not only stupid but also a bit discriminatory. Had I been in a wheelchair instead of just hobbling along with my cane, I would have been beyond infuriated since my order required two hands. As it is, the awesome cashier offered to and carried my order to my car for me. So, ordering off the app saves ZERO time compared to ordering inside or at the drive-thru. If the real wait time is 30–40 minutes, just say that. Don’t show fake estimates that waste people’s time. The only reason I ordered through the app was to save time, but it actually took longer than ordering in person. An online ordering app should provide accurate wait times.
