It could be a usable app, although the sounds are very, very low quality. 
It's lower quality than standard iPhone recording. 
I wouldn't spend your money on it.

I had been looking for an app like this, I raise chickens and I love freaking them out with this app. I did the rooster the other day and one chicken just up and died.

Worth a dollar for sure, I have one big rooster and four hens.. He is not a nice rooster:) first time I played some sounds I thought he was gonna kill someone :)

My kids thought it was great watching that rooster try to get at whatever was making the sounds.. He caught on quick though he doesn't react the same after about ten minutes.. At least the kids got a laugh..

As the title says, it's definitely not worth the buck you pay. The calls are recognizable at the most but they are not clear and are low quality. Don't buy it and save yourself the hassle.
