### 1/5 — Stupid app

I dont know what this app is.

**Developer response:** I regret to learn that you are encountering difficulties with the application. I am here to assist you in any way I can. Please do not hesitate to contact me at sean@kovelo.com for further support.

### 2/5 — Wish it worked for iPhone and Android!

*2021-12-19, version 1.6.1*

My husband and I have different phones so he cannot get this app. That makes it hard to use.

### 3/5 — Needs filters

*2021-10-22, version 1.5.0*

Sweet idea but definitely need categories and filters like sit down, fast food, etc to make it more useful

### 4/5 — Great app, needs to filter out closed places

*2026-04-19, version 1.17.0*

This app is great, unless you use it on a day that many restaurants are closed. Traveling on a Sunday makes this app hard to use when many places are closed. There should be a filter to get rid of places that aren’t open on that day. A fast food filter would be really cool too for road trips

### 4/5 — Good / Possible additions?

*2024-10-30, version 1.11.0*

Great potential and very functional for an app that helps me and my husband decide what to eat for dinner on occasion. One function that would be incredibly helpful would be the ability to randomize the order in which your restaurant/food options appear. For example, my husband and I live in an area that has 141 places to choose from. That is a lot of places to swipe through. And because they are always in the same order, there is no element of surprise. I think we only have the patience to swipe 10-15 times before we are over it and end the game in order to view our matches. We’d much rather have a randomized selection of say, 15 nearby restaurants that we have to swipe left or right on, given to us at random by whichever filters (also a good possible addition) are applied. It would give users variety, gives them the chance to try something new, while still placing the overall choice in the users stomachs. :)

### 4/5 — Great App! Just need a better radius function

*2021-03-25, version 1.3*

This app is a great concept and it works great! The only reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is I wish there was a way to narrow my search radius. When I played, I had to sift thru over 100 restaurants which seems too time-consuming when you're looking for a restaurant in a pinch.

Hopefully that gets added soon so I can recommend this to my friends!

### 4/5 — Great App Idea

*2020-11-08, version 1.2*

It’s a great idea and the user interface is simple, but I live in a very small town and it’s only got 2 restaurants near me. There are a lot more places and most of them are chains so it’d be nice if it would be able to have them or at least let me add my own restaurants. I honestly wouldn’t mind sitting and typing out every place and address if there was and option. It also be nice to include multiple cities like automatically include places really close to you like in you same county, but be able to say we are willing to go an hour away to go eat.

### 5/5 — W app

*2025-08-09, version 1.15.1*

This app is w

### 5/5 — Needs filters

*2021-11-21, version 1.6.1*

Original review below, updated review based on 1.6.1 update.
The app now has filters! The new update is great—you can choose what types of restaurants/food you want or don’t want. Also h/t to the developer who replied to my review to let me know about the filters, and then provided great support when they weren’t working on my version of iOS. We had some great back and forth to track down the bug and he released an update to address it. Bumping my rating up to 5 stars!

Original review
Great app except that it needs filters. When I fire it up it tells me there are 269 restaurants nearby. Lots of them are fast food places, but there are also a lot of sit down places. Really needs at least basic filters like fast food, sit down, etc. Also, as another user said, would be nice to both narrow to specific things you want or exclude things you definitely don’t want. But I do like the info icon for each restaurant that shows location and gives a link for their website.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2021-08-22, version 1.4.1*

My wife and I have never decided on a place so quickly. Out of 119 restaurants we only matched on one 🤣

That being said … I think a feature to at least narrow down the number of restaurants to flip through would be nice. Something like being able to eliminate the places we know we don’t want. So if we tell the app we definitely don’t want Chinese, no Chinese places will pop up.
The opposite would be nice too, like being able to tell the app we only want Italian places to select from.

As I’m sure whoever created this app was smart enough to steal it from the meme, I hope to only see this app get better. I do wonder which came first .. the app? Or the meme?

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — nice

*2021-08-14, version 1.4.1*

i saw this on facebook

### 5/5 — The best idea

*2021-08-13, version 1.4.1*

Definitely a great idea for an app! For some reason when we eat out our food is always delayed at the least an hour due to what you could call, decision making and/or throwing things at each other. This will save soooo much time can’t wait to use it!!!!

### 5/5 — Refreshing or picking locales

*2021-03-11, version 1.3*

My SO’s phone listed different restaurants. It would be good if we could put in a city or zip code to focus on where we would eat.
Many times we travel to a larger city, and eat there, rather than our own small town.
It is a neat little app. Thanks for making it.
Hope to see more from it.

### 5/5 — I’d give 6 stars if I could

*2020-09-01, version 1.2*

Was out of town with the family and we were all hungry. It’s standard practice that If we can find a place to eat within 30 minutes it’s a miracle and everyone is arguing. We all opened Chicken Tender and within 3 minutes we had picked a place to get our food!! And, we were all in a great mood!! THANK YOU CHICKEN TENDER!!!

### 5/5 — A great app for an indecisive family!!

*2020-08-08, version 1.1.1*

We spend more time trying to pick a place than looking at the menu so this helps a TON!
