Just go to your local precinct or police station and ask for a child safety kit and buy emergency kits online. 2 hours wasted listening to them blab. Another 3 so I called back. “It takes a few months because of the backlog etc…” so I asked how that is if they could not only spend so much time with me on the phone, and get in touch with me so quickly! After reading a post in Facebook I tough this was a good idea to protect our child. There is no information in the Facebook post about the need of meeting us in our home, the multiple calls from the sales rep requiring both parents to be present in order for us to receive the free safety kit. All the time I was thinking this was something you just request and they send it through mail. The need to let people that you don’t know enter to your house to receive a kit to protect your child is not the safest way of protect your child. They were so persistent that I started feeling this was scam. They are owned by a company called America Income Life. They sell many things, but most importantly life insurance. What you don’t know is when you sign up for the ( free child safe kit) you will then be called constantly by a sales rep for the safety kit, never once mentioning life insurance. They will then request a meeting with you at you home to set up the child safe kit, and go over what it is. For all of 10 minuets they will go over the app with you, and almost immediately switch to selling you life insurance. They will go over all kinds of information for there life insurance, for about an hour, unless you are smart and ask them to leave. This is what most would call a bait and switch tactic, and is very shady to do, especially when they are using your child’s safety to get there foot in the door quite literally. Oh also fun fact if you are thinking why this is a big deal, American Income Life has a 1.7 star rating with the better business bureau, and an overwhelming amount of bad reviews from customers, complaint about annual visits that are somewhat forced to try and get you to purchase a larger life insurance policy. Don’t get me wrong this company is not a scam and is truly legit, but they are not a company one should look to for a life insurance policy.
