I’ve tried to log in again using my pin and it’s telling me invalid. Waste of time and space in my phone. It never takes my pin, even if I’ve just reset the pin. Same thing after you reset it. Total waste of time trying to get this to work. You set a pin and than it tells you it’s invalid and then you change it and it will tell you that pin is invalid. Complete garbage of an app. Just like the state of Illinois- garbage. Have been going through a modification and it’s been a year and there still working on it. I was hoping maybe there would be a convenient way of checking on my modification status but NO. Better off just calling. ### 1/5 — Updated version *2021-08-25, version 3.2.1* The new version works as well as the last….meaning not at all. It doesn’t work. Can’t even get logged in. Same story as the old version. Got another email today. Try again. New version. Shocking. STILL DOWSN’T WORK! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2021-08-03, version 3.2.1* I wouldn’t even give this app one star! It absolutely does NOT work. I have deleted and re-installed the app and never have I been able to actually log in. I keep trying in the hopes of a different result. I should have listened to all the previous reviews. Only good review is from years ago. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2021-08-03, version 3.2.1* I registered just to see if it was anything different then the websites. Well I registered and even verified my pin and I went to log on and all I get is an error message that says your ID or Pin is incorrect. Yet the app doesn’t ask for an ID just the PIN and there’s no option to log off. So I deleted the app it’s pointless as far as I can tell. If I need to modify anything I’ll do mine directly through the state attorney. ### 1/5 — Trash *2021-06-29, version 3.2.1* This app/ the state of illinois is totally useless when it comes to child support… I’m going to end up having to get a modification done. Idk how many times my paperwork has been lost.. so my modification is closed. Request a phone call for after a certain time, they call 3 hours prior to that so I’m not available to answer. Whenever I email and send messages they tell me to download this app for updates… which this app tells me nothing.. wont even let me start another modification now. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2021-06-25, version 3.2.1* I hate writing negative reviews and I often just keep my mouth shut but this app is horrible. I downloaded it to be able to request a modification faster but I would have been better off sending in a paper request. Every time I try to send/respond to a message the app crashes, every time I want to log in I have to re-register or ask to change my pin even though I know it. It’s a headache, stay away from this app. ### 1/5 — Haven’t been able to open it *2021-06-06, version 3.2* I downloaded the app and opened the account. After verifying my pin I can’t get the app to open again. I have no idea if my request for modification was received. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling and restarting my phone. ### 1/5 — Need to reset with every login *2021-04-20, version 3.1* For some reason I have to reset my pin every time I want to login, unless I use my android tablet. You can’t talk to customers service the website doesn’t give you any info and the app is terrible. ### 1/5 — APP Does not work *2020-06-16, version 3.1* Very frustrating that I am trying to log into the app and it keeps locking me out, stating that my password is incorrect. Deleted and Downloaded the app three times and still locks me out after I go through the process. The worst app I have ever dealt with. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hot garbage *2025-11-25, version 3.2.4* Absolutely atrocious app. I have had to reset my pin countless times. It will work once and then never again unless I reregister. For an app that the state recommends using to track modification review status it should be a lot better but we are taking about the state of Illinois. I’m not sure the app could get any worse. Better off calling the modification phone line instead because you will get nowhere with app. It deserves zero stars!!! ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-08-05, version 3.2.4* Can log in once and that’s it after multiple resets and even deleting the app. ### 1/5 — I have to register each time *2025-03-14, version 3.2.4* I have to register every time I want to login. Just now I registered, confirmed my pin, closed the app, reopened the app, input my pin, and was immediately locked out for too many failed attempts. Thanks for nothing. ### 1/5 — This app is broken and does not work! *2023-10-23, version 3.2.4* This is the app that the state of Illinois recommends you use in order to keep track of your child support modification request. As many other people have reviewed, you can’t log in this app. Every time I input my information, it gives me an error code. It’s really a shame that Illinois would recommend this app especially, after hundreds of people have complained on other online forums. They seem committed to not fixing their app. This is possibly one of the most broken apps I have ever seen. lord knows I can’t say “used” because that would imply that the app is usable. I’m convinced that this app is just for show. The developers know that this app does not work. This app is nothing more than a ploy to make it look like they are doing their jobs, and to justify not hiring people. ### 1/5 — APP DOES NOT WORK *2023-07-26, version 3.2.4* This app doesn’t work. I already have an account set up but it won’t let me log in and if you request troubleshooting, it’ll direct you to call them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING THIS! Smh ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-02-10, version 3.2.4* Do not waste your time. You can only log in once. Your pin never works and it makes you register more than once and sooner or later you just can’t log in. ### 1/5 — Horrible app - they should be embarrassed *2023-01-22, version 3.2.4* If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to log in to the app one time to see the status. After that, it will not work. I tried deleting and downloading it again like another reviewer mentioned. It turns out there’s no option to login using an existing account. It only allows for creating a new account. Obviously this is not an option if you already created one and you’ll get an error. If you select “troubleshooting” it will just direct you to call IL DHS who will direct you to contact Maximus. With the number of parents either paying or receiving child support, there’s no excuse for not having a functional app. If you would like a one time chance to see which phase of review your case is in, this is the app for you. By the way, the app doesn’t give any information about what the other phases entail, so it is hard to know what to expect based on the information. ## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Kim *2016-05-19* I just saw this app on the child support website for Illinois. I downloaded it entered my name and bam my information popped up. I recommend this app if you are like me and hate sitting on hold. For the other two who reviewed this app your RIN number is nine digits long and is clearly marked on any mailings that you receive! Also your case number does begin with a C and is also referred to as the IV-D number on all mailings sent to you! ### 5/5 — Wonderful App! Thanks *2015-02-12* This is my first app to download to my phone. I could easily track the status of my Mod Review at any & in real time. As my case progressed I received notices that alerted me of a status change. What was and is the most amazing features , when I had question I requested a call via the app and a specialist contact at the time I requested the call. This is a WONDERFUL innovation. If you have a case in Cook County IL I strongly recommend you downloading the app or asking their customer service team more about it. I have a couple cases in other states where this tool is not available and wish it were. Great job IL. ### 2/5 — Not Working!!! *2013-11-01* I have not been able to access this app. I try putting and the necessary information, yet, I still receive the message saying "registration cannot be completed." I'm giving it two stars because I like the concept of the app. I like the thought of being able to check the modification status.
