## What is Childminder?

Did my kid eat her peas at lunch today?
Has my darling boy had a good nap?
Did my child poo today??

Leaving young children in the care of others can be scary. What are they doing? Are they safe? 

The Childminder App helps childminders and parents stay connected throughout the day. Childminders can share a child's photos, activities, food diaries and other vital information to their parents or carers.

EYFS progress (for the UK users) can be easily logged in-app. The logs are displayed in the app for parents. And childminders can download or share the report as supporting documentation for an Ofsted inspection. There is no need to do reports on a computer, you do it all on the go.

We are still in the early phases and we're gathering a lot of feedback and ideas so we can make improvements. So please get in touch via the "Help & Support" option in the app.

I love this App. Keeps parents informed of everything and photos during the day. There is a limit to what you can write though as parents can only see what’s in the space on the screen and not scroll down or right , so you have to be smart with what you write. But I find it a breeze now as anything more you’d discuss with parents anyway. The ‘post’ logs of photos store for about 3 weeks. You have to remember to ‘save’ when you’ve entered new data but it’s obvious when you enter it to do that. I post a couple photos 3 or 4 times in the day. The time stamp is out (not sure what time it’s set to) but I don’t worry about that. I’m sure parents aren’t looking at exactly the time you were there!

This app is very good and it’s keep you communicate with parents and share videos about what  children  been doing.

I’m able to write a lot in the “ general notes” section for the parents, but when the parents go to view the notes, they can only see like 2 sentences of what I wrote. The mealtime options are very vague. It would be cool if I could write notes in those sections about what he liked/didn’t like etc.. It would also be awesome if there was a “snack” option for the meals of the day. This app has great potential, but coming from Nanny Notes (which was unfortunately taken down) there are lots of improvements needed. Overall, I find the app quite vague and doesn’t get into specifics which parents like to know. But it is very user friendly and A cute layout! I will continue using and hope to see some additions eventually 😊

I am the caregiver, I have never been able to connect the parents through their email, we have tried several times.  Today when I opened the app on my phone all the data from months of input is gone.  No pictures, no information at all.  I am not going to start over.

Could be a great little app but it crashes all the time and you have to keep restarting and little glitches ... can’t read whole description I’ve written on posts, can’t log a wet nappy, only mixed or soiled! Lots of potential

- Option to choose time when adding new posts as many childminders update their activity logs when they get some downtime and hopefully this will help them to select the date and time of their choice.
