If there was a way to save your progress I'd be fine with it, or some other mechanic in game that checks in with players and warns them of game crashing, awarding them for taking a break ? Idk something creative. Love the game, but the amount of times it has crashed has left me not wanting to play it in fear that it will just crash again. ### 3/5 — Way too many crashes on iPhone Xs; Fun game *2026-06-21, version 1.1.4* The story and the game are great. However, this game should not be listed as compatible with the iPhone XS — the game crashes far too often, not like an occasional thing, but pretty much garuanteed to crash a couple times if you try multiple runs through the second and third caves found in the first main level. Sigh. So frustrating to lose 15-25minutes of work. The experience goes completely counter to what gaming like this is supposed to be, fun. The developers or Apple should change the device requirements or the devs should update the game to be more compatible. Sincerely, if it weren’t for the constant crashing, I’d give the game 5 stars. I should be able to play offline in airplane mode but I can’t because it gets stuck on the loading screen. Please fix this issue. Loading bar acts weird too, gets to the last 10% or so and likes to back up a couple of notches then load..or crash. Thanks. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Technical failure right from the start! *2026-08-30, version 1.1.4* After downloading the app and opening the app “children of morta” will start a loading screen. It takes a little while but the loading sequence does eventually finish. But then the app puts up a message that reads “connecting” it doesn’t tell you what it’s connecting to it just says connecting. My experience with the game is that it cannot ever get past that connecting screen, it just doesn’t connect. So I have absolutely no clue whether this is a good game or not. I haven’t had a chance to play. On this wise, I cannot recommend the game all I have to show here is a generous helping of buyers regret.
