You will need to be logged in on the same iCloud account on the Apple TV and the iPhone/iPad that loads the videos - this is iCloud and not the store as the videos are stored on your iCloud account. Again fantastic utility. ### 5/5 — I Loop My Drone Video Using This and Apple 4K TV *2022-05-27* As a professional photographer I can say this app is outstanding. I use it via an iPad 4th Gen and usb to iPad card reader and Apple 4K TV dongle. I open my drone video tapping iPad folder then SD card icon. Then I locate drone footage I want and export to iMovie. Then I “save” it while in iMovie which results in drone footage being saved in iPAd “Photos”. (That last one was the important step). Sometimes it can take many minutes to upload. Now I go to Chill Zones app and select the same movie in Photos, name it, then upload it to the Cloud using Chill Zones app. Finally I go in to Apple 4K TV menu and Open Chill zones app, and select the drone footage to loop on my big flat screen tv. Viola! ### 5/5 — Great idea just what I needed! *2021-12-18* I LOVE this for my mini edc or festival sets in my living room. Pair some looped screensavers with some great edm and some sound sensitive light strips or Nanoleaf lights and you got yourself a stage. Only thing I have is if a progress bar can be added in the TV app to lmk download progress for what is in the cloud, currently it just says “loading” for an unknown amount of time until it’s downloaded and will play. Love this app!! **Developer response:** Hello, thanks for the awesome review. I will look into possibly showing some kind of progress when loading the videos. Initially the app was meant for really short ones (like 10 seconds) so it did not occur to me that with longer ones the loading might be annoying. ### 5/5 — Chill Zones Works! *2021-09-08* WOW! I requested a feature from the developer who not only added the feature, but did so within 24hrs. This allowed us to have music playing in addition to displaying Chill Zone videos. Thank you for the amazing app and thank you for adding my requested feature 🙏 ### 5/5 — Excels at what it should do! *2020-11-18* This app does exactly what you’d expect. Save some videos to the app and then you can view them on the Apple TV in a looping screen saver view. It was super easy to get started and set everything up, and within a minute my saved videos appeared on the TV! One thing - I was hoping I could listen to music while having the videos play (similar to how Apple’s default screen savers function) but this was not available. I would love to see this feature added later in development! This app does exactly what you’d expect. I love it. ### 4/5 — Save your favourite videos on the Apple TV itself *2024-06-22* The only app I know of that will store videos on the Apple TV itself and can play without downloading (after the first play). Suitable for screensaver videos or viewing your favourite memory videos (not full length movies). They must first be copied to the same app on your phone or iPad from the Photos app and unfortunately take up space there too so it’s not for big collections. **Developer response:** Hello, thanks for the review. Although the videos are copied into the app (otherwise the upload wouldn't be possible), the app clears them from the iPhone/iPad later on, so they shouldn't be taking up any space. If you are noticing high storage usage on your mobile device, please get in touch. Best, Filip ### 4/5 — Just doesn’t work - UPDATED *2021-06-17* Update 6.17.21 Attempted to use the app with my iPhone instead of my iPad. It worked pretty smoothly. Even with long videos. I think the app needs to explain in the description that devices before 2018 will have problems running the app. I also wish I could make it the default screensaver. But it does work. Previous review - I’ve tried videos as short as 5 seconds and the app will freeze and then start again later. It allows me to loop my aerial drone videos to my large screen tv through my Apple TV 4K. I upload the videos to my iCloud account using the Chill Zones app on my iPad. Then after downloading the Chill Zones app on the ATV, I just click on it and select which video I want to watch, click on the repeat icon and sit back and enjoy! I was having an issue of my videos not loading on the ATV app with tvOS 17.4, just an endless spinning gear. I contacted Filip, the developer, by email and he was so incredibly helpful in troubleshooting the problem. He updated the app today and it now works perfectly.
