What I’m bothered is a poor user experience - the ads are often displayed in the resolution that that covers or makes it impossible to press the closing button. If rejected, this person gets you banned from the app. Furthermore this person threatens ppl who do not meet him privately to ban them from any party in Berlin. Also the app is used to connect pushers to consumers of illegal drugs. The term „candies“ means anything from 420 to Meth. But come on guys - the monthly fee is really fair. We all want nice features and nobody wants to work „for free“ - why should software engineers? It would be really important to enhance the filter mechanism for the list of chills. It is pointless to find a chill which happens super soon but 8.900 km away… And its not helpful to see 20 chills on top of the list which are located within 15 km but most of them are going to happen in „far“ future. Only thing I’d change is the notification settings, would be good if you can control what notifications you get from the app. I like getting notifications from messages, but not for chills created near me. It’s not entirely accurate at the time of writing to claim (as their description currently does) that it’s the only app that’s facilitating this; but it’s the only one that I am aware of with this overt, primary intention. I’ve been interacting with the app on a regular basis for over a year now. The adoption and use varies considerably by country/city: in London there are relatively fewer active users and chills announced compared to certain other cities in continental Europe, in particular in Holland, Belgium and Spain where there seems to be more activity. This is a chicken and egg issue and I hope more Londoners will consider using the app. There’s a steady flow of European visitors and it seems that most users are prepared to share their face pic and many more share other pics in their private picture galleries that are viewable upon request. The subscription is a bit of a con, I must say. The price is shown in Euros but if you’re a U.K. user you will get charged that number in £, not allowing for the exchange rate difference. The app is so scared of people breaking with the admittedly conservative and restrictive policies of the main App Stores that they censor and black list content inappropriately, eg not taking account of its context. I realise that it’s a hard tightrope to walk but the app developers don’t seem to care that they are losing supporters and subscriptions with their current approach.
