Love seeing where I have been and planning stops on my travels. Their support is great. When I got a new phone I was unable to login to my account for my history. Kerry quickly found the problem with my account and corrected the issue. Real time downloaded info and location identification made our park visits more enjoyable and less work than would have been possible with hard copy maps. Great purchase. You can find better info online. ### 5/5 — Excellent Tool in the park! *2024-07-18* This is a very helpful ap! When ur in a lot of these parks there isn’t any cell service so this was a godsend when we were in Yellowstone and Grand Teton. You can do a lot of research online ahead of time but this ap acts as a companion and also offers a lot of hidden gems. We wouldn’t have spotted our mama and baby moose without it! **Developer response:** Love this—thank you! It requires a log in but won’t let me create a password. The forgot my password link indicates a reset link has been emailed to my email but after trying that about a dozen times today I can say that it doesn’t work. I had access to it for 24 hours before Chimani would no longer allow me to enter the site without choosing a payed plan. You really couldn’t hire an artist to place text over a photo of Yellowstone? I am planning to go to Hot Springs and it was not available. ### 1/5 — Good for car trips, not for hikers *2024-12-07, version 6.0.46* If you want to hit all the scenic turnouts and overlooks on a scenic drive, then this is the app for you. If you want to plan out a hiking trails itinerary, look elsewhere. I had planned a combination of both things and it really annoys me that this app doesn’t let you add even the most popular park trails to your personal park itinerary. It has great hiking maps within the national parks and the gps tagging allows you to easily keep track of your destinations and accomplishments. After recently upgrading my phone I was not able to log in because I forgot my password and didn’t have access to my old email address. I thought I had lost all of my data but Kerry with their service team came to the rescue, and did so much more quickly than I anticipated! If you spend a lot of time in the parks, this app is a must-have! **Developer response:** Thank you for the wonderful feedback! There are a few little things that have been identified in other reviews, so I’m not going to repeat them. This app is well worth having and using if you frequent the National Parks - especially if you hike into the parks, beyond the parking lots and congestion. I spend a lot of time on remote trails, and some not so remote. There have been several times this app helped me find my way back after a long day on a confusing trail system. I always carry a paper map (as a backup), but there’s nothing like being able to view your location on a downloaded map of the trail system! Btw, I even carry a small solar panel to charge my phone. As with most apps, you MUST use it and familiarize yourself with it to fully benefit from its many features. **Developer response:** Thanks so much for the thoughtful review and for being a longtime Chimani user—we really appreciate it!
