## What is Chimebird?

Lose track of time when you’re focused, working, or scrolling?

Chimebird gently reminds you as time passes, using beautiful chimes, natural sounds, or spoken time announcements at the interval you choose. It’s useful for deep work, studying, mindfulness, remote work, time blindness, ADHD, or simply noticing when you’ve been absorbed for too long.

Reminders are powered by local notifications, so you don’t need to keep the app open or running in the background.

Key Features

• 10 curated sounds + voice announcements in 10 languages
Westminster chimes, singing bowls, birdsong, crystal glass, piano, cat meows, dog barks, and more. Voice announcements support male and female voices.

• Flexible reminder intervals
Set chimes every 60, 30, or 15 minutes for hourly, half-hour, or quarter-hour reminders. You can also choose active hours and repeat days.

• Sound-only mode
Play the chime without showing a banner, so your lock screen and Notification Center stay uncluttered.

• Built-in troubleshooting
If a chime doesn’t play, Chimebird helps you quickly check notification permissions, volume, silent mode, and other common causes.

• No need to keep the app open
Chimebird schedules local notifications ahead of time, making it simple, reliable, and battery-friendly.

### 5/5 — Great for keeping track of time

*2026-06-11*

Really useful for staying aware of time without constantly checking my phone. I like using the 30-minute chimes during focused work, and the sound-only mode is especially nice because it doesn’t clutter my lock screen with notifications. The sounds feel thoughtfully chosen, and the app is simple enough that it just fits into my day.

### 3/5 — Does not work on Apple Watch

*2026-05-23*

After downloading the app to try it out and contemplating purchasing it, I found that the settings included instructions for Apple Watch compatibility. However, I was unable to get it to function properly. I contacted the developers three times via email for help, but to no avail. Checking the website, I discovered it does not support the Apple Watch. I removed the app and left a review, highlighting this discrepancy between the app's claims and the website's information.

**Developer response:** I’m very sorry for the delayed reply. Due to a technical issue with my email, I only just saw your message.
To clarify: Chime Birds currently does not have a standalone Apple Watch app, and Apple Watch support is not a Pro-only feature. At the moment, Chime Birds is focused on iPhone chimes.

• 10-minute intervals (Pro): a chime every 10 minutes, with six customizable slots per hour.

IMPROVED
• Several chime sounds are now louder and more consistent across themes.
• Clear, specific guidance when Background App Refresh is off or Low Power Mode is on — including exactly when chimes would stop.
