Population not so much *2023-12-07* The game itself is great. The graphics are beautiful. There are lots of things to keep you busy. They do a great job with updating the game and adding events. The problem comes in with the lack of population. I’m great playing alone as a solo player. Obviously it’s more fun with others but I have no problem doing my own thing except there is so much I can’t do because I can’t find others to group with. I really wish developers would take that into consideration when making these games. Don’t make it where in order to get the best things you must have a group. Amazing. But if these bugs do not get fixed, it will make it impossible for anyone to play these games. Please fix this. I have made five characters and my characters have gotten very slow like a snail and I am tired of restarting my new game due to this, so please fix this game. Thank you. ### 4/5 — I love it *2023-02-20, version 2.1.2* I love it but some minor things don’t make sense to me. 1. Certain bugs take forever to fix (I’m looking at your mermaids) 2. Houses that haven’t been used aren’t cleared so now, bc everyone plays in the same space, it’s full of unused houses 3. My main issue. Why do we need to fight Noble beasts for material for a Grand pill???? That doesn’t make sense to me. Obviously I can’t a noble beast, I’m trying to make a grand one. Wouldn’t it make more sense to hunt Grand beasts to make a grand beast? And why the hardest ones???? I have to fight a Bone Dragon to make a Pinnapup? That doesn’t even sound right… those two are not the same AT ALL 😭 - I love everything else in the game. The artwork, the beasts, space, the beautiful sunsets, playing with people, the character customization… everything. I can tell a lot of hard work was put out into this game. Unfortunately I only have a mac so I can only play on mobile. But I love the experience so far. I just wish the evolved pets didn’t feel so unobtainable. Not a lot of people play actively so finding teams to hunt the Nobles (I won’t even try an Illustrious) can take days. Grand beasts to make grand beasts and noble beasts to make nobles makes the most sense to me ### 4/5 — Not much left to do *2023-01-20, version 2.1.2* I’ve been playing the game for about a 7 months now non stop with my friend. We love the game and every aspect of it, but there isn’t much left to do. With us being able to go into space, we would love to see new detailed planets, new creatures, the leveling system is kinda hard and the experience isn’t just the same. I love how open the world is but I’ve been to every spot within an hour of gameplay including outer space. The animals/beasts in the game are to hard to capture and kill. The graphics are fantastic and I love the fluent mechanics of movement. The game needs a update on its housing as well, and there has been bugs and glitches with the user interface and the backpack glitching out saying I had something new there but it wasn’t, that goes along with the user interface. Overall the game is great but it lacks new content, and there are still a lot of bugs to be fixed. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE this game, it’s so unique and interesting, I got to level 50. On my first character, then, the northmount update, and BAM, same character, but all progress lost, back to level one. 2. Also, I had to make 3 different characters because the quests, ( more accurately the main city quest ) kept glitching out, I wouldn’t be able to progress after the quests no matter what I tried, :( please fix this the only way I could get farther was if I made a new character, but it happened again, so now I must start again… 3. This isn’t dumping on the game or anything I’m just pointing out these things that made the game less fun, I love this game so much! It’s amazing that is on mobile and pc, ( I have friends that I usually can’t play with because my laptop is crappy, anyways) so this is the best, 4. Also best mobile game I’ve ever played, it feels like a computer game! ### 4/5 — Incredible Game With a Few Issues *2022-12-08, version 2.1.2* I really want to give this game five stars because it is one of my two favorite games ever. But unfortunately there are a few issues (as is with most games tbh). The biggest issue I personally have is that it is really hard to progress through the game and get really good without spending money. And then there are cool events with amazing cosmetics and stuff that you can only obtain by spending a heck ton of money… Which most people do not have unfortunately. If there were more ways to put in the effort as a free to play player and still be able to progress through the game and obtain everything the game has to offer then I would absolutely gibe this game five stars. I am level 63 in game and have only spent a little here and there… This game has s o much potential. I’m excited to see where it goes. I also wish the people were more friendly and there were better ways to make connections in game… But this is also coming from a Sky COTL player who loves making friends and meeting amazing and kind people haha. I just feel like I have had way too many unpleasant encounters with pretty awful people tbh… I have definitely met really nice people in the game but yeah. Odd amount of angry and rude people. I need more nice friends lol ### 4/5 — It’s a pretty ok game but.. *2022-12-01, version 1.0.4* I really like this game, in fact one of my favorites. But the game is lacking when compared to others, they need to fix bugs and add more things to it cause it gets boring. But the reason I write this is because of the mounts when fight a Noble or grand beast. Sometimes they don’t even damage the beast and it gets annoying them BOOM your dead. Please fix this, that’s one of the reasons I had to leave the game for a bit cause I rage quit cause I thought it was stupid how I died just because my mount was not damaging it for I don’t know what reason. Just please fix the issues and maybe you might actually attract people to play you game. ### 3/5 — Was enjoying, but it’s stagnated and it cost money *2022-11-03, version 1.0.4* I loved the game at first, didn’t mind spending a bit of money as the game is/was fun. Now I’m frustrated can’t evolve my pets to the high level as they still don’t have a item I need, and I only found out after all the work and money was spent on the pet. I love most of this game, just frustrated and stagnant now. Also the fact you can spend hours collecting resources and get very little of the resource you need. I hope they fix this soon as it’s very disappointing in a otherwise good game ### 4/5 — Empty and sad *2022-10-23, version 1.0.4* This game had great potential, but even after a server merge, it felt empty and a bit sad. The positives are the weather events, graphics, homebuilding, creatures, collecting, crafting. The negatives were frustrating ui, tiny fonts and a lot of bugs. I enjoyed the homebuilding the most, but there were many challenging aspects to it, like building in water when there are no move controls in build mode, or the way in which every tree and plant had different durations of their lifecycle. When you got a bunch of them, it is difficult to manage and for what reason? I feel that everything should last for a week or even longer. We should have been able to choose to extend the timeframe without having to continuously replant. In the end it was bugs and boredom that made me quit and the fact that the new updates weren’t adding much.p value, I moved my house a bunch of times after a while that’s no longer interesting. But when building a shelter, foundation blocks are higher than the “base starter”. Foundation blocks in games like this are a constant problem I have which prevents me from from continuing playing. This one is no exception. Interface is fiddly. Not the greatest job explaining advantages/disadvantages of the starting areas and the choosing a location within that area is kinda like doing so blindfolded. Character pieces seem not to fit each other very well. It doesn’t really create a smooth looking character. Would be 5 stars except: Market controls are crazy! Half my stuff Is bound to character… like common wood and stone even! Graphics glitchy. Collisions glitchy. Sounds obnoxious, high pitched, sustained (new pipa is horrid). Targeting is terrible - Whether gamepod tiny Black arrowbeasts on black background or elsehwre, pipa shoots dead bodies or BEHIND you! Constant fortuphant spawns when gathering. And automatic flashlight ALWAYS COMES ON,even after u turn it off. These frustrating things diminish the games fun. Support unreachable. ### 1/5 — Update ended it all *2022-12-14, version 2.1.2* Newest update caused my character to disappear. Customer support is terrible. They said they fixed it and asked me to confirm. They were wrong. I messaged them back to tell them it wasn’t fixed, and I haven’t heard back since (this was a week ago). I spent a good amount of money and time and it was wasted. If you don’t mind progressing just to lose your character and have no choice but to start from scratch - without all the items you paid real money for - then have at it. I loved the game. Amazing graphics, plenty to do, but unstable, and customer support won’t fix anything for you. ### 1/5 — Was great until…. *2022-11-05, version 1.0.4* I really enjoyed the game but then when forced to register I lost my character and progress which really sucked as I put a lot into the character. That was the first bloop Chimeraland made. Then I started from square one and progressed really far and worked really hard. Then the servers were merged and my house was destroyed and someone else’s house was put in that spot. My house was built specifically for that spot and won’t work anywhere else and the house put there was really stupid for that spot in my opinion. That was the second bloop Chimeraland made. I stopped playing now because I’m not going to screw me over a third time. This shows me to never start playing a game day one and give it a year to see if it survives. I don’t think this one will, I never ran into another player except my sibling when we planned to play at the same time. So I’m done and even if this makes it a year I won’t be playing again. He lost access to his account. One day he decided to open the app on his phone and he was logged out of the game. He couldn’t log back in which is weird because he still has the same phone. We both spent money on the game and would have continued but I’m not sure I’ll play as much with out him. Is there a way for him to get his account back is he never linked it to another account? And still has the same device as before? ### 1/5 — Bad ark ripoff *2022-08-07, version 1.0.4* Hello and I want to share some feed back after trying the game. If you are a developer of this game please listen and respond. So I played the game and made my character and then right off the bat it the game told me “craft arrow” and then “this is how combat is, there is close range, and far range combat” and that was it, it just threw me in the game and that was it. If anyone else is reading this I suggest that you play ark survival evolved or ark survival evolved mobile because it is way better personally. And I wanted to give this game a chance but it is just disappointing, and I apologize to the devs of this game. I was hoping of it to be something like “Durango wild” cause of the dinosaurs, and also the graphics are really bad. And also not to mention, but there are some things in the loading screen from other things such as Jurassic world and some games. I made a character and then it crashed and when I loaded back in I had to recreate the character. No big deal. After doing that, I waited 30 minutes for the game to load… it just… kept…. Going.. assuming I was stuck in an endless loop of loading, I left and tried again. AGAIN I had to create my character and waited another 30 minutes still not able to get in. I wasted an hour and I don’t know why you think anyone wants to wait an hour to get into a phone game… I get it’s open world and “it’s creating the world so it may take a while to load” but holy… an hour? Really? Disappointed. ### 2/5 — Barely playable on iPad Pro 11-inch *2022-08-25, version 1.0.4* Texture pop-in, low framerates, bugs. If you can overlook all that, then you’ll find this game has a good concept and some pretty scenery. It’s very grindy (what else would you expect from a f2p game) and has somewhat opaque gameplay (a ton of complicated systems that aren’t adequately explained) but allows for a decent amount of creativity. Sadly, the mobile version leaves much to be desired in the performance department. Or perhaps I am just expecting too much out of my no-longer-top-of-the-line iPad. ### 2/5 — Could be a lot better. Don’t count on it. *2022-07-17, version 1.0.4* Worst gripes about the game are the SIN mechanic, the lack of any real explanation for anything meaningful, the aggravating character customization, and the awful drain on my phone’s battery. SIN is a debuff that you get if you venture outside the map’s boundaries. Doing anything meaningful after that (like gathering resources) summons level 65 celestial pegasus knights that “arrest” you GTA-style. They basically punish you for exploring outside the map because “hurr durr you’re an illegal immigrant now”. And they do actually mention “illegal immigration” there. The other stuff has been explained by other reviewers already, so I’ll leave it at that. I’m still making an attempt to play the game more, but you won’t see me buying anything with the game’s microtransactions (which aren’t too expensive, honestly, but don’t feel worth getting regardless). **Developer response:** Thank you for trying out Chimeraland Global. However during my experience I noticed many issues with the game. Such as difficulty navigating, confusing controls, and customization was a nightmare. The most obvious problems lies with the visuals themself. While the characterization visuals looked alright the same cannot be said for the world. Glitchy and barren land and an overall unappealing appearance. While I’m aware it is newly released these problems are vital for gaming experience and are the very core of a game. I fear of future development as the game’s foundations are lacking. Not sure why and it keeps deleting my characters and making me completely restart. Different characters/creatures and different abilities to the different races of characters would be cool. Like the squid people could breath underwater for like an hour, the bird people could fly for like 5-15 minutes or something and the same with the dragons. But right now my biggest concern is not being able to create a character due to it not letting me choose a name. Yes it has a few bugs but they aren’t too bad. I crash every now and then but that’s probably because my phone has so little space for this massive game lol The sheer size of the game itself is impressive. I love how they said hold my beer and then proceeded to break past the open world standard for games. I’m level 61, the leveling isn’t challenging at all you just have to keep at it like any game. If you don’t play you won’t level. Most creatures are difficult to kill without help, even for me as I don’t have the best gear yet. But I don’t really focus on that part too much. The building is what takes most of my time. So many homes to build so little time lol I can spend entire nights creating a house. I’m hardly ever staying with one long though so I keep moving, keep trying new designs and it’s fun for me. I do wish the game had more available building materials and wallpapers. Aesthetics remind me of dark souls. The co-op experience feels like monster hunter lite. The casual solo gameplay feels like second life. You gather, craft, bond with other players and form player made towns and communities. The pet/ companion system is pretty interesting too. Your pets and companions can fight alongside you and level up. You can give them both new abilities and gear your companions to be on par with your avatar character. I was skeptical but after seeing people talk about it, I decided to give it a go and glad I did. It is a little funky that if your chosen race has wings you can’t fly, or a sea creature and can still drown, but I suppose that’s to keep the game fair while giving you options for aesthetics. The game is as hard as you want it to be. Can take it slow and do your own thing, or jump into where the action is. The game will definitely need some improvements and bug fixes, but overall it is a breath of fresh air. ### 5/5 — Honestly I absolutely love the game *2022-08-21, version 1.0.4* So I’ve been playing for a while and I absolutely love the game play and all it’s a bit vague and kinda lonely doing it all yourself but it’s fun never the less.
