### 4/5 — One request

*2013-05-22, version 3.0*

Good game. Can you tell the app to sleep when there is a predefined period of inactivity (maybe an option). Few times I had forgot to close and the app keeps in active state Nd wastes precious battery juice. Thanks.

### 4/5 — W

*2012-04-10, version 3.0*

Good. I especially like the Problem feature. However, I like to play as black on some of the problems; I'm not convinced that Red move first and win some of these.

### 4/5 — OK app

*2010-05-22, version 0*

Excellent chinese chess app but when you move the pieces they move too slowly to their new location on the board.

### 4/5 — Good, could be more polished

*2010-03-05, version 0*

After playing (western) Chess With Friends, I guess I got a little spoiled with the user interface. I would suggest adding animation between moves and for viewing past moves, and a submit button to confirm the move so you can see what the board would look like before committing. Also, the pieces are a little small. And I don't know what posture is!

The killer feature would be a "with friends" option. I would get my friends to buy it then.

For what it is, the app is still good to practice and learn strategy.

### 3/5 — Better than other cchess

*2009-08-22, version 0*

Strong AI, nice board but expected more features for this price. Wish list: more board designs, larger chess pieces, ability to save wining games or replay, and for amusement - option to have computer play against itself.

### 1/5 — pz

*2015-07-19, version 3.1*

Can't play multiple player!!!

### 1/5 — Not good at all

*2010-06-17, version 0*

I always choose to play the black piece. With this app you can't even choose what color. You always begin red. It says shake phone to switch sides. I nearly shook my phone outside the window it still didn't switch sides. I'm just so used to playing black this app is useless. Developers I just got this app yesterday please update this problem I will rewrite this review.

### 1/5 — No good

*2010-03-25, version 0*

The game does not let you move pieces that will help you

### 1/5 — Game auto reset after about 25 games

*2009-11-18, version 0*

AI was good. Normal mode is noticably more agressive than easy mode.

UNFORTUNATELY, game would close itself intermittenly and reset the game. After about 25 games, it consistantly shut down on the first turn by the computer.

If it wasn't for the self termination, this would be a reasonably good game.

I just deleted it from my 3G. I hope I can get a refund.

### 1/5 — Too hard

*2009-05-25, version 0*

I learned to play this game a few years ago and thought myself to be fairly good. Starting out on easy, I thought I would have a chance at winning, but the "easy" mode is extremely hard. I have yet to win...not fun. My recommendation would be to make the east mode a little easier.

### 2/5 — 2.7版本很好

*2010-01-16, version 0*

真的很好

### 2/5 — memory is not enough?

*2009-10-12, version 0*

new version can't work any more. it said the memory is not enough. no fun any more......

### 2/5 — crashing during games

*2009-10-03, version 0*

pls fix the memory leak issue. crashes in middle of game and have to start over.

### 3/5 — OK Game, But Few Changes Need To Be Made!!!

*2010-09-07, version 0*

Few recommended changes below will make the game play better.

1)Red always moves first – I see there is an option for “You move first”, and if off is checked, when the AI moves first his chess pieces should be red not black. This is a standard rule of the game and should be changed immediately! (would have rated this game 4 stars if you guys had this right!)

2)When playing against AI, there should be an in game option to disable/enable AI at any time to allow user to play both sides/roles.

3)When using posture option, it would be easier to use if users could touch and drag pieces directly from the bottom of the screen on to the chess board, vs. how it is now.

Overall game is easy to use and fun.

### 3/5 — Good game but it has bugs

*2009-10-12, version 0*

I like this version because the computer's AI is very smart. However, it would be better if the computer makes different opening moves sometimes.

Needs to fix memory issue. After several games, it keeps giving me the 'low memory' warning and I have to reboot my iPhone to get it to work again. The wifi option does not work. It tries to connect ('waiting for opponent') but never connects.

This is a very challenging and good Chinese chess app.

### 5/5 — Excellent Trainer

*2019-01-30, version 3.3*

This is perhaps the best Chinese chess app for the iPhone. For sure, it allows you to save games for review. Another valuable tool is its provision for setting up positions. Also nice is it’s multiple skill levels.

### 5/5 — Very Challenging

*2016-04-29, version 3.3*

This I have to admit is the best Chinese Chess game ever. I still have not beaten the top level twice.
It does improve my defensive moves against my friends. The game gives me hour of entertainment. Yes, I would recommend this game to anyone.

### 5/5 — A Very Decent Product

*2010-01-21, version 0*

Looks like that there is a serious development team behind this product.

### 5/5 — Awesome upgrade!

*2010-01-17, version 0*

This was already one of my favorites, but the addition of over 200 problems makes this a must-have in-the-go xiangI trainer.

### 5/5 — Very challenging, worth the money

*2009-06-24, version 0*

The computer is really good at countering your strategies so I would recommend this game to people who really appreciate the game and capable of playing good chess. Graphics and controls are all great. Multiple languages and helpful tools such as hints, back move, foward move, history or movements, and timer.
