## What is Chinese?

Chinese IQ - is a free English-Chinese and Chinese-English dictionary of Mandarin Chinese language (Putonghua). Learn Chinese, expand your vocabulary, use this dictionary as a Chinese phrasebook.

The dictionary supports multiple languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Finnish, Swedish, Vietnamese, Thai and other languages.

Chinese dictionary flash cards may contain audio pronunciation, stroke animations, measure words (classifiers) and example sentences.

The pronunciation of Chinese words and characters is shown with pinyin and bopomofo (zhuyin fuhao).

### 1/5 — Does not explain or provide range of meaning

This dictionary often provides only one meaning for a character, instead of providing the whole range and context. An example is 冲, which only gives the English “rush”. But 冲 can be used to pour tea, and many other uses. We need the full semantic range.

Уже 2 года изучаю китайский. Купил полную версию словаря. Иногда здесь встречаются ошибки, но не знаю как об этом сообщить разработчику. Например, слово 陈 - это не «старый», а «показывать, выступать, выставлять» и другие значения со схожим смыслом в зависимости от контекста.

Good app. But doesn’t recognise all Chinese characters.  Especially when you need to learn the stroke order of each character.  I hope they keep developing to improve this app because I think it has a great template with lots of room for improvement
