I get that it’s free so it probably doesn’t have a lot of the features other paid apps have but even in other free apps, you are able to see who liked you. This app doesn’t have this ability. How do I know who has liked me, sent me a message and when I swipe right on someone, how do I contact that person??? It just seems like this app is missing A LOT. Aesthetics-wise, it’s appealing but that’s basically all it has going for it. **Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for giving Chivy a try. Chivy is intentionally designed a bit differently from traditional dating apps, which I realize we did not explain clearly enough in the product. We focused first on safety, high-intent connections, and IRL events, and some familiar “instant gratification” features like seeing everyone who liked you did not make it into the first version. You’re absolutely right that clarity around likes, messages, and what to do after you swipe is critical. We’re actively improving: Clearer notifications and inbox for new likes and messages A more intuitive way to see and respond to people who liked you Better guidance after you match so you know exactly how to move things forward I’m sorry the product felt confusing and incomplete to you, and that’s on us for not communicating our approach better. I can assure you there is no scam, we partnered with Clear to prevent bots, catfishing and bad actors and also moderate our app to actually prevent scams which are so prevalent on other dating apps! Hopefully you can give Chivy another chance! ### 1/5 — Takes all your information then doesn’t work. *2024-03-23* Buggy crashy app that stopped working, doesn’t load, and no customer service to answer your problems. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review and we apologize for your experience. We never received a request from you regarding this support request but we did post updates on our social media channels. Even though it's still relatively new, it’s clear there’s a lot of potential. One of the best features is the fun events happening throughout NYC, which give you the chance to meet people in person in a relaxed, social setting. The setup process was relatively easy, and I especially liked the ID verification feature. It gives me peace of mind knowing that the person I'm matching with is real. **Developer response:** Thank you! The bot problem is extremely prevalent in dating apps so we are so glad to have partnered with CLEAR to stop that on Chivy! ### 5/5 — Love - Perfect fix - Was tired of data apps *2024-10-13* I was tired of being penpals on dating apps and meeting people who lied about their age and with fake profile. Chivy requires all users to be verified upon onboarding - no fake photos or ages. They also have cool safety features so my friends know I'm on a date.
