## What is ChkOBD OBD2 Analyzer?

ChkOBD let you connect your iPhone and iPad to your Car and view the most important Engine values in a very intuitive user interface in an appealing user-friendly way. 

ChkOBD connects wirelessly to an ELM237 enabled OBDII - Bluetooth adapter which is readily available from many 3rd party vendors.
From this free application that let you have access to the basic “Engine Values”, you will have In-App purchase to access additional information such as :
. Advanced Engine Values, an extended choice of sensors available on your car,  that you can select and monitor. The available Engine Value from your car, are all listed in a “grey” mode, so, you will have no surprise of what you will get (or not get !) after the In App purchase 
. Smog Check Assistant, to know if your car will pass the next Smog Check at the state official station, or the App will let you know what needs to be fixed, before driving there,
. VIN Analyzer, will let you know what information is in the “government file” from your car, including date and place of manufacturing,
. Error Decoder and Reset, to know what is the current error that is in the Memory of the computer of your car and let you have a way to try to reset this error (Normally, it comes back on, if the cause of the error is not mechanically fixed). This is an error scan that is going through about 4'000 possible errors.

Usually all these information will be read from all car that have been sold in the USA after 2005. Beside a complete technical update (new internal code), that enables faster readout, more secure and reliable functions, the Engine values have been greatly improved.
About 70 "PIDs" (Parameter IDentifications) have been added. 
Note : depending on your car, you may not have these 70 parameters on the reading option, as some of these may refer to sensors that have not been implemented on you brand/model/year.
Note that they will be no surprise on what you will get, as before offering the in app purchase, you will be able to see the complete list (visible in "gray" mode of the parameter supported by your car.
