I think it just makes different 
Kaleidoscope type pictures every time you say something. If I repeat the same word the picture should come out the same or pretty similar but it would show something totally different each time. I don’t think it’s accurate. I just wasted $1.99.

I’m using iPhone 16 pro and iOS 18.3. Just downloaded the app. Squares is lovely but circles & blocks features don’t work at all. Just a black screen.

I’d actually give Chladni a 4.5 but would be an easy 5 star if we could apply color options to the patterns. Any chance of adding a color selector to the app?

再インストールもしてみたが変わらずです．

I’d like to suggest that each sand grain leave a fading trace or fading memory of where it’s been, kind of like a blip on a radar screen. Also, find some way to add color. Assign color to the vibrating sections of the membrane instead of just dots where the membrane is not in motion.

This app is the beginning of a wonderful research instrument… For now, it is the only option for iPhone/iPad and the developer has taken a great step forward to advance awareness of this field. As we [re]learn our ancient history, mandalas and temple/cathedral artwork take on a whole new meaning. In the beginning was the word… 

Now, some feature requests:

Audio file input to create images from prerecorded samples. 

3Drendering! This is performed in the time domain and may resemble structures in spheroid and cylindrical modalities. Looking from the side, it should look like a DNA helix. This is not an accident, our DNA is a musical arrangement in direct, translatable format as displayed edge on with the circular view. (That’s what mandalas really are, an edge on view to visualize a frequency.)

Color! In two modes, one for amplitude with customizable palates and the other mode to identify converging frequency nodes from diverging harmonic interference patterns. 

If not already employed, AirPlay support to project the images. 

A recording feature with the capability to capture still frames with metadata to indicate the audible frequencies and proportionate amplitudes at the moment of screen capture. Video playback for review and archival purposes.  

And now, something ambitious, augmented reality engine to reverse engineer cymatic images into audio. 

Perhaps an app for the new Apple AR goggles?

These features can exponentially accelerate, our understanding of natures audio/visual world and our interaction with it. This could even have medical and structural engineering uses. 

Interesting story, I had a Commodore VIC20 that recorded BASIC programs into audio tones on a special cassette tape drive. What’s old is new again. Let’s build a colorful new future for humanity.

Square mode works well - would love to have a way of capturing / exporting the imagery to eps/pdf/jpg. 

Circle mode is quite mad. Needs to have the volume up quite high to work and is then really frenetic.

**Developer response:** Thanks rating. Currently this app do not have capturing function. So we recommend you to use iOSs intrinsic Screen Recording and crop it.
And there is a little modification for Circle mode visualization, on ver.1.5.

サイマティクスのアプリとしては、iOS上で唯一のようで購入した。なぜかインストールした日は、真っ暗な画面のままボリュームに応じて反応するマイクのインジケーターだけが動いていたが、翌日から正常に動いてマイクの音を可視化している。これは面白い。これから色々試してみたいので、現時点では星４に！（iPhoneXsシステム14.6）

再インストールで改善した報告例をいくつか受けておりますので、お手数ではありますがiOS上のアイコンを長押しして✖︎ボタンで一度削除していただいてから再インストールをお願い致します。

p.s. 動作しましたようで安心しました。インストール時の複雑な処理において環境の違いでバグが発生している模様です。動作が不安定になった場合も一度アプリケーションを再起動して頂きますと改善する可能性が御座います。

Not working on iPhone. Shouldn’t be sold if it’s broken. Remove from Apple App Store until you fix it. I need a refund.

**Developer response:** If the app couldn't run, it was broken when OS updating. please wait for this app's diff update.
But if it was running, check allowing to use microphone in setting.
If you are allowing, reinstall may improve the issue.
Refund is not acceptable here, you can claim on an appropriate page.

Doesn't work at all on iphone ten

 Please allow the use of microphone.
 If it still doesn't work, it has been reported that re-installing will improve it.

It’s fun. It is like a relaxing kaleidoscope. Doing simple voice vowels reveals it’s limitations. It’s more of a visual representation of what cymatic patterns look like in general, but testing side by side with other Chladni videos, it’s not the same as an actual Chladni plate vibrating loose material. But definitely worth the price.

With conscious human beings we have no idea the impact that sound has on our consciousness but once you begin to visualize sound and what goes into your ears you can filter out so much. this app taps humans mind into a new universe that cannot be visually contemplated. This app gives you that connection into another universe. that you can then use this as your advantage in this reality.

Just gotta adjust the sound to get the right symbol, play any frequency on another device, make sure all other sounds are off nearby(should be done in a quiet place to get the best results) I’ve tested it with multiple frequencies and the correct cymatic shape came through! Amazing app !
