### 3/5 — Can’t control pump speed

*2021-03-01*

We contacted our local agents who never got back to me with my problem, manual mode set on the Viron XT pump and fast comms set on V25 Chlorinator as per manuals however still nothing.

I can vary chlorine level and power on off but that’s about all.

Brand new RJ12 6/6 cable installed as per manual from pump to chlorinator which did not come with the unit and had to purchase separately .

Not happy with support so far.

### 3/5 — Acid dose

*2019-01-06*

This is a good app and it is handy that you can suspend auto acid dose on a timer. What is really annoying is that you can only suspend for up to one day!!!! The pool shop told me to suspend for four days because of the buffer being put in pool. So either I have to remember so suspend every day for four days or disconnect my acid. Both very annoying. Please do an update to extend suspensions to include two days, three days, four days and five days as options. !!

### 1/5 — Basic functionality - no decent updates ever

*2025-03-23*

A truly basic application that has not changed in the years I’ve owned this equipment. Turn on/off and set the regular timers. Thats it.
Tells you when salt is low but does not give a constant reading so you can see long before salt is too low to top up. Can’t set a dosage timer which every pool owner knows you need for shock treatments etc.
You can do this from the control panel, if you can read it as it’s pathetic in almost any light. ($547 to replace it just so you can read the panel)
Do Environ staff not use their equipment and this app and know it is pathetic. Or maybe they do and just don’t care.
It would not be complicated coding to add some basic and useful functionality.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2021-11-04*

My app won’t load the chlorinator info even when standing beside it. I deleted the app and re-loaded now it won’t let me connect the chlorinator at all. Says it can’t be found. Absolutely useless unfortunately.

### 1/5 — Not so great

*2021-05-13*

There is no direct support to raise bugs with the application. One of the Last update is preventing to update the chlorine production levels, so annoying. Also, the finware update does not work, and I can’t see a way to report the bugs.

### 1/5 — App was great until the latest update to 1.5

*2021-03-13*

The latest update has been terrible. The only way that I can get any changes to take effect now if I am lucky is to turn my iPhone off and on again 😩. I have tried to re-download the app a fresh to no avail. I hope they have a version 1.6 coming out very quickly!!!

### 1/5 — Acid Dosing Functionality on ChlorinatorGO App

*2019-05-29*

I have purchased one of your Astral eQuilibrium chlorinators with Bluetooth and have the ChlorinatorGO app and would like to know if you can add the functionality to dose acid into the pool for a period of time with the app just like what you can do on the chlorinator box itself? You already have an option to disable dosing for a period of time on the ChlorinatorGO app but no option to enable acid dosing for a certain time period which would be very hand to have.

### 2/5 — Very Basic

*2023-09-10*

I have this app in combination with an Oasis Smart pool system (with its own app). They don’t actually combine (exchange data etc) but then I don’t expect them to.

The Astral app is very basic. Minor thing however for example the dialog for ph and orp levels appears to be a slider however it isn’t. You must tap each to move in little increments. Come on guys this is not hard.

There is an option to halt ph adjustment for a period however not for chlorination (manually adjust to zero)

None of the maintenance functions on the menu of the physical device is available via app. Example pH and ORP probe calibration.

### 2/5 — Cannot control chlorination setpoint from app

*2021-06-10*

Since a recent update, this app can no longer control the chlorination setting. You can change the setting in the app, but it does not actually change it on the chlorinator unit making it necessary to manually change the setpoint on the chlorinator itself.

### 2/5 — Was good, now not so much 😞

*2021-05-10*

The chlorine set point doesn’t seem to get saved on the pool Chlorinator any more since a couple of updates ago.
Apps says it’s set but when reconnecting it’s still old value and same on the controller board itself.
Makes the whole thing kinda useless.

### 3/5 — Disappointing effort

*2023-06-13*

I think it’s worthwhile, taking a step back, and remembering how much of a significant capital outlay a pool is let alone the ongoing operational costs and effort. It’s sad to see an Australian company being lazy. This app is nowhere near where it should be.

### 3/5 — Does what it says on the box

*2023-01-05*

Works ok.

Annoyingly it loads a white screen 50% of the time and so you need to go back, and then select your pool again.

Some other options would be nice (e.g being able to trigger an acid dose)

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Does the job👍

*2023-10-15*

Would be even better if you could do manual acid dosing from the app.

### 4/5 — Lacks Data

*2023-08-06*

The Clorinator Go app is OK being able to control the ChlorinatorGO, lights & pump remotely is great but every setting that can be changed & the data it measures like ORP should be available via the app. I have to walk out to the shed to see the current ORP level?? This app is good but could be great

### 4/5 — Good app but missing one important feature

*2020-12-29*

The app does a good job of letting you control the Chlorinator remotely. The only other thing I would want it to do is send you push notifications when an alert or error comes up. You can only see these if you open the app, which means your filter may not even be operating and you won’t know unless you manually check the app every day.

### 4/5 — Ok but could be more functional

*2020-10-18*

This app is ok but would be great if the actual ORP level was displayed on the app as well as the PH.
Surely it can’t be that hard given the PH is displayed.
Do this and it would be great.

### 4/5 — Useful but could use more functionality

*2020-02-13*

It’s great to have access to turn the pump on and off remotely. This is useful when you are poolside and you don’t have to go to the equipment shed to do this. It would be great if you could get a live display of current ORP levels and Ph levels etc so you can screenshot it on your phone before visiting the pool shop to test water. One of these days they will produce probes and apps that can live sample water and talk through wifi so all I’d have to do is walk in and show a reading of my pools water test and manage the water that way. This is beyond this apps capabilities but I live in hope that something will be developed in the future. Otherwise this app is convenient and seems to be reliable enough. Look forward to future updates but not holding my breath for anything soon.

### 4/5 — Good app just a bit glitchy

*2019-10-06*

It’s very convenient when you need to quickly check ph levels and change pump speed etc.
But it doesn’t like connecting a lot of the time. It use to work ok but since the update I have to close the app and reopen it a few times before it will connect to my Chlorinator.
Hopefully the next update will fix it. Other than that it’s a good app.

### 3/5 — Does the job but room for improvement

*2022-12-17*

The app functions well and is a good alternative to reading sensor info and controlling at the main control box. I wish the app showed the actual ORP instead of just low, ok, and high. I find when it’s not ok and I have to go find out how low so I know what to do. Would be good to just have all the info at hand via the app. The UI is clunky and could be improved.

### 3/5 — It’s okay

*2022-12-09*

The colour selection feature is buggy, selection of one colour keeps displaying another out of the light box controller. ORP actual value is not viewable in the app, forces me to go outside and read what’s going on each day.
