As long as they follow their promises.. I started accounts with them when they were still Kingdom Trust. At that time they charged 1% to sell or buy, which is high, but it was in-line with the competition. Now they charge both an exchange fee and a Choice fee, this would be 3.2%. They also do not allow a swap so if you are trying to trade from Solana to Bitcoin you will pay another 3.2%. So let me get this straight. They charge 6.4 %for a swap! I am moving my accounts, request from them instructions on how to do in-kind transfer. ### 3/5 — Usability Has Regressed *2025-02-17, version 2.23.0* I’ll gladly update this review to 5-stars upon improvements because that is how I felt about the product in the early days, but the usability has somehow gotten worse since opening the account a few years ago. The main issue being that market buys don’t work, and haven’t for some time. I’ve inquired several times and the response is always that the IT team is working on it. It’s been well over 6-months at this point. ### 1/5 — Stay Away *2024-11-09, version 2.22.3* This company is attracting new crypto investors and is failing them hard. The app and service is not helpful and honest to customers. With hidden fees and a horrible app experience. Funds will be withdrawn without explanation if you’re not paying attention to your money. This is unacceptable. Stay far far away from this app. ### 1/5 — Scam Account Now BEWARE *2024-10-15, version 2.22.3* Dishonest broker and custodian of an IRA. YOU GOT PEOPLE TO JOIN JUST TO STEAL THEIR MONEY THROUGH FEES. I'm glad I didn't put more money into this scam company's account. More crypto options with ITrustCapital Monthly fees are ridiculous, not worth the hassle ### 1/5 — USED to be good for those without a 401K… now it’s a SCAM *2024-08-22, version 2.22.3* So about 3 years ago, I thought this app was great! It gave me the ability to actually have a 401K, and it would help me add funds into it! Everyday you are allowed to play the blinko game in which u have the opportunity to win some sats. On their double days, I would easily get a $4-$6 win, and overtime every single day it adds up. I think I had over $60 at one time just after a year or so, and my fiancé had over $100. Now mind you, this was back when it was FREE to have the type of account that we had. We did not have a regular 401K at the time, so we weren’t charged the other fees that they have if you want to move your other 401K Into this one. The type of account we had was a FREE OPTION…! Then after the pandemic, they sent me an email listing all their changes, and then they did this AGAIN 2 months later. They first told me I would be charged a .08% fee or something every month…. Okay not too bad, at the time this would’ve been like a .40 cent fee every month, which I was fine with. THEN, 2 months later they decided to change this fee structure, and then they wanted to deduct an entire $20 EVERY SINGLE MONTH!!! For the same free account they were just offering 2 months before!! I don’t know of a single app or business who went from offering a FREE service, to then turn around and begin demanding $20 EVERY SINGLE MONTH!!! If it was once a year fee, that’s more doable and reasonable. But I have never heard of such an increase in fees to go from completely free to suddenly wanting $240 a year! Especially after I had played their little game everyday for the last 2 years and had accumulated a good little amount of money for my 401K that could’ve helped at least a little bit later in my life. Soon after just 2 months, that $50 went down to $7, and now I am completely against this app. For them to state how they wanted to be a different type of app/financial service and to get the newer generations to save and invest, they sure showed me that they were just like the other money hungry businesses that claim they want to “be the change” for those who may not have a lot of savings. Will be cancelling mine and my husbands account, as well as all the family members I told to switch to this app. Screw that. You can’t offer a completely free service and begin with this “we want to be different” mentality, to all of a sudden demand a 400% fee markup. 👎🏼 ### 2/5 — Data breach *2024-08-10, version 2.22.3* Choice had a data breach that leaked customer information including name, bank account routing and account numbers. They alerted customers in July, but the breach was in March 2024. This is unacceptable. It was good while it lasted to have a Bitcoin Ira, but now you can just buy the etf. Plus, their fees for holding Bitcoin are way more expensive than the etfs. You can transfer the funds (cash only) to a different broker that offers IRAs. With the data breach and high fees, I can’t recommend choice anymore. ### 1/5 — Wow *2024-08-03, version 2.22.3* They just changed everything. You can’t even get into your account without choosing the min of $20 a month. Stupid. ### 1/5 — High fees!! *2024-07-25, version 2.22.3* At $20 a month for a small Roth IRA, I’m in the process of closing my account!! ### 1/5 — Check updated egregious FEES *2024-07-22, version 2.22.3* New Fees for digital custody in 2024 is MINIMUM $20 a month or 1% of holdings. So if you have a small account, it will be drained in no time. If you have $1,000 the fee will be $240 per year…that’s terrible! And the BLINKO game was great until they decided to take all their money back by charging excessive fees. TERRIBLE! ### 1/5 — Dishonest company. DO Not do business with them *2024-07-19, version 2.22.3* I’ve been a “loyal” member of Kingdom trust and they have proven to be a 100% dishonest company I recently sold bitcoin through them and they charged me a “Choice app fee”. This fee was 6 times the fee to sell my bitcoin. My original bitcoin selling fee was $250. The Choice app fee was an additional $1250 dollar fee. Sorry, but unacceptable. Additionally, when I attempted to transfer my account to my Robinhood IRA, their customer support Refused to give me their DTC code in order to transfer said IRA to Robinhood. Refused! I have since requested to liquidate my IRA with choice which now leaves me subject to paying taxes on that ROTH IRA, instead of allowing a direct transfer. This is criminal and frankly dishonest. The DTC number should be readily available as with ANY other financial institution. They choose to keep theirs secret, and unavailable to their customers. Do not do business with them, it is simply not worth the pain. DCA with a real Exchange/Defi 🤟 ### 1/5 — This company will steal everything you have *2024-06-24, version 2.22.3* This company needs shut down immediately by the sec or some one. I’ve been trying to sell my stocks I hold in a Roth IRA for three days. I’ve jumped through hoops for three days now. Bank accounts, limit orders only, all banking info, including voided checks even the bank address. Confirmation calls and now I’m being scheduled for a zoom video call to get back my fund on 1 micro strategy stock with 1438 on the sale order and 1 jepy stock at 56.90. To be told I will only receive 500 back. I told the I hope they all go to jail!!! Just a week ago they took all my investment money leaving zero balance in my account. SCAM ### 1/5 — Updated their fees after they charged me *2024-05-12, version 2.22.2* I liked the app for a while. Honestly, I only put a little in to an ira to hold some crypto and play blinko. And I suppose all good things must come to the end… When they updated their fees a couple months ago I was surprised to see a minimum fee of $20 to hold crypto if you were not above a certain threshold. I was not, and likely I was the type of user they were looking to weed out (congrats, it worked). Nonetheless it said there were 0 fees to have an account and 0 fees to hold publicly traded stocks. So I thought I would just change and hold stocks, and avoid the crypto holding fee. Then I saw the fee hit. When I reached out to the support team, they said that there is also a $20 a month fee to have the account open (even thought it still says there is a $0 account fee). So after some back and forth they thanked me for pointing out the inconsistency and they updated their fee page (after billing me) to show the hidden $20 monthly fee. Glad to be of service! Was I given any refund, or royalties for pointing out this great miss? No, obviously not. However, it was at that point that I did not trust them to be honest, nor trust them to hold my crypto, non-qualified or not! So I gave in and left, because I have a family and better things to do than chase down a lame $20 fee… But I did learn to “hold” my crypto with someone else. These guys are either dishonest or they have no clue what they are doing and they are making it up as they go. ### 1/5 — Terrible Fees - and they have only gotten worse *2024-04-20, version 2.22.2* Buyer beware. I regret ever signing up with choice app. The fees are now crazy. They are charging 1% every year. Even on cash. That’s on top of what you would expect to pay for trades. And there are fees to leave. Don’t do it! ### 1/5 — Don’t do it. Do not give this scammers your money. *2024-03-29, version 2.22.2* They are now charging $20 a month to hold your digital assets. No mailed statements. No way of seeing on the app the fees they are taking out. No withdraw on the app without sending support ticket. They charge .99 per trade to buy. Crypto is overpriced to buy and underpriced to sell. If you deposit $240 in 12 month it will be 0 because of their $20 monthly fee in 1 year. Run the other direction. Do not download or give them your personal information. Blinko is a scan to distract you while they rob you. If you have money try cash out $100 and see the hassle you will have. You might need a lawyer to get your money back. No 1800 number are you kidding me. I give you all my retirement money and cannot talk to someone on the phone. Scammmm ### 1/5 — Scam of the year in 2024 *2024-03-26, version 2.22.1* The Choice app has changed it’s policies. It states that “ new monthly fee of: $20 -or- ( 1% annually) whichever is greater.” If you put in $240 for the year, it will be reduced to $0 by the end of the year. DO NOT play blinko it is a waste of time. ### 1/5 — Very concerning *2024-03-19* Starting charging a $20/month fee out of nowhere. Can’t afford that. Clicked on close my account. They said someone would contact me. That was 2 weeks ago and have not heard from anyone. After reading other reviews this is beginning to feel like a scam ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — High Fees - Better Options *2025-12-15, version 2.25.0* Had my Account with Choice for 4 years before transferring it out due to the outrageous high fees they charge. Each month I was charged a super high monthly fee for just having my account open and funds invested in BTC. I didn’t trade much but there are also pretty high trading fees if trading large amounts and many other fees that they charge for that other brokerages don’t. Sure you can win a few sats playing blinko but then you’ll get hit with insane fees for your Account. During my 4 years with them there was no major feature releases or improvements. They had in their road map to allow instant deposits and trading but never implemented it. So any deposit you make takes 3-4 days to clear before you can trade, which makes buying any BTC dips impossible. They also do not provide monthly, quarterly, or any Account Statements available in your account. You have to submit a customer service ticket to get a simple Account statement. What kind of financial site/app doesn’t allow customers easy access to things like Statements? ### 1/5 — Hidden btc fees nowhere on app *2025-10-26, version 2.25.0* Don’t store your btc with them. Huge monthly fees that cant be seen in transaction history. Your btc will not grow with them. Would easily give negative rating if I could. All of a sudden as the price of bitcoin went up I was losing money. I never got notified for fees and there was no record of them. That would’ve been fine but there also no way to pullout. I’ve request several times to end my service and get back what I had even at a loss. I eventually got an email saying they closed my account because I haven’t put more money in and my balance wont cover the fees. So I just wasted hundreds of games of blinko and they took all my initial investment and its earnings. ### 1/5 — Fees are outrageous *2025-01-31, version 2.23.0* After the promotional period ends you end up paying insane fees that should not exist for online only options like this. They earn every dollar you might “win” back in fees in a short time. ### 1/5 — Choice is a scam - reporting to BBb *2025-01-30, version 2.23.0* I put $100 into choice two years ago when BTC was at $40k. Now that BTC is at $105k my account value is $16 because their fees are so high. I also have a new invoice from them for fees related to a self directed retirement account. The fees for having a $16 account balance with them amount to $62.50 for last year. They are charging 4x your account value in fees. I thought for sure it’s going up in value since I’ve never touched the account and it’s on Bitcoin. With Bitcoin skyrocketing I decided to see how my account is doing. Instead I’m shocked to see my account decreased by half. Upon inquiring that’s when I found out they charge $20 a month maintenance fee regardless of account size. I know this has to be illegal. Will spreads it across all social platform to make sure everyone is aware of their predatory practices and report them to all the regulatory agencies. Hopefully apple sees this and removes this app from the App Store. If I can give it a negative star rating I would.
