It's well written don't get me wrong and the story ideas are good, but it's waay too short and doesn't really contain a massive amount of choice. After completing it 3 times I feel like I've explored most of what it has to offer as you can kinda predict what the other choices will do. The story was okay, but it didn't last long. I wonder if you even can get different endings because I played 3 times and got the same ending. Compared to other zombie text adventures like Zombie Exodus, and Zombien this game lacked so much. It's fun to read, but certainly not worth the price. No matter what choices you make, you end up at the exact same end (assuming you're not infected), with the exact same characters. On top of that, the only class worth playing is the spec ops, and it's hardly worth the dollar. With so many skills, you'd think they'd actually be USEFUL. So far, the only useful skills are firearms and athletics, and only because you use them on more than one occasion. I've yet to have a need to patch anyone's injuries up outside of the mall, and I've yet a need for engineering, save for starting up the ferry. The story was half decent for the first play through, but afterwards it got stale very quickly. You meet up with the same survivors, with the exception of meeting a doctor OR redneck, either way using the same vehicles and having mostly the same attitude (ego filled and spiteful). The game itself is very short, and I was able to beat it, with the best ending (saving 4 survivors and finding secret documents), in less than ten minutes. The last issue is the classes ("professions"). There's little variety, and the only one that starts you with an actual firearm is the spec-ops, and they start with WAY TOO MANY (MP5, pistol, and grenade launcher). It's the only class worth choosing, and it's the most overpowered. But it's the only one you can actually get anything done with. Conclusion? You really need to add more jobs, hobbies, etc., and more instances where you actually USE the skills; medical, engineering, etc., and make a longer and more interesting storyline. ### 5/5 — Awesome game *2014-02-05* Kept me going from start to finish, and then to start again! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I regret buying this so much *2015-12-31, version 1.2.0* Its so short the content wasn't good and it was really boring with so little content it wasn't worth what I spent and I'm very disappointed in myself for buying it ### 1/5 — How about no.... *2015-08-30, version 1.2.0* If theres is one thing i could change in my life either not getting the worst hangover iv gotten or buying this game id rather have not bought this game... It's extremely short and poorly written. Not much detail is put in the making of it. For one it is very poorly written, the game is very short and uninteresting. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — So many endings *2024-02-12* I truly wish this game was turned into a visual novel but I think it would end up being thicker then the dictionary with how many possible scenarios and endings there are ### 5/5 — Hilarious *2017-08-29* This masterpiece is so real and relatable, my favourite next to Necromancers and Zombie exodus: safe haven ### 5/5 — interesting *2016-12-05* i'm giving 5 stars because i feel like the current reviews are extremely unfair toward the game. many state that their reason for being so low is because players expected a game more like zombie exodus. let's get something straight--zombie exodus was a LONG game. choice of zombies is a decent length. the two aren't really comparable because they're good largely for different reasons. this game isn't as in depth, but it's value is in its ability to be replayed. it seems as if every action you take results in a different story. you need to play through multiple times just to meet all the characters, not to mention the different settings, interactions, and endings. that's where this game really excells. i'm not disappointed because i feel as if it's not right to review this game based on another game and what i think choice of zombies should be rather than what it is. i judge the game based on its own merit and i truly believe that it's pretty good. without the context of the negative reviews, i probably would've given it 4 stars. but seeing all the animosity toward it has changed my mind on that, hence the 5 star review. don't get this game thinking it will be another zombie exodus. get this game for a story you can only get through playing it multiple times--one that certainly has flaws but isn't horrible like some of the current reviews say. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2016-07-23, version 1.2.0* It was an amazing story to be a part of! ### 5/5 — Zombies *2015-03-13* It's probably just me but if it's even a half decent story and it has zombies your going to get 5 stars from me.
