### 4/5 — Stories

*2026-03-12, version 4.2.3*

Great game, but few choices are made and it’s mostly story instead of choices. Also, wish they had more story options

### 5/5 — Beautiful stories

*2025-02-24, version 4.2.3*

Thank you!

### 5/5 — An incredibly emotional experience.

*2025-01-28, version 4.2.3*

I’m so replaying everything over again. I just got my first ending and I’m devastated.

### 5/5 — Amazing Game!!! But…..

*2024-12-19, version 4.2.3*

I want to start by saying that this game is one of THE BEST choice based game out there. During the first and second stories, I was absolutely enthralled with the characters and small foreshadowing that existed. Every choice felt like it absolutely made a difference. My only complaint has to do with romances. I love that it gives you the option of who to be with, and wether or not you actually want love, but I wish there was more content after getting together, as the stories seemed to just end after you confess your love. There’s also just a few inconsistencies along the story. In The Sun Went Out, (SPOILERS), scientists were gathering on the plane and the story was making it seems as if I had never met Petrus, even though I spent time with him it Italy. It also talked about Wong as if we were friends, though I did not interact with the aetherites AT ALL in Tokyo. Other than these small things, this game is a TEN OUT OF TEN!!!

### 3/5 — Bug

*2024-12-13*

Impossible to start the app, update fail at the beggining and the app close

### 5/5 — Love this

*2024-11-30, version 4.2.3*

Story line is good, love the choices! Definitely keeps me wanting to click to the next stage!

### 4/5 — 👍

👍

### 5/5 — REdownloading

*2024-07-17, version 4.2.1*

Fell in LOVE, I came across this game again and holy cow flooded with memories… I am downloading again. This game is immersive I think I remember playing on my Apple Watch years ago.
Definitely try it out, you wont be able to stop!

### 5/5 — Seriously amazing in every way possible im crying

*2024-07-01, version 4.2.1*

Just finished my first story and im genuinely crying rn i haven’t even been playing that long but i feel like ive been living in that world forever it was just so well done and thorough and nuanced and so beautiful 😭😭😭 i was NOT expecting it to hit that hard. Mild spoilers maybe??? But the “Am I asleep?” And the “Of course!” Immediately just made me pause and cry a good minute. Truly every choice and detail matters and absolutely nothing is insignificant. I love finding incredibly niche games with this amount of effort put into it, it’s art. Im definitely going to continue playing this. It’s crazy that its free. Pro tip for anyone reading if you dont wanna do the 90 cents just take 10 tickets every day til u get 30 or 40 cuz itll get you through the arc USUALLY and its good for pacing ❤️ I LOVE THIS OMFGGGG i could rant all day and night. Moti 😭Thank yalll

### 5/5 — Amazing story!

*2024-05-18, version 4.2.1*

I rarely spend money on apps but I got completely hooked on “and the sun went out” that I’ve spent about 7 dollars or so on tickets and eventually just buying the whole story LOL

Also wish the ads to get some tickets worked :/

### 3/5 — It Was Okay

*2024-01-24, version 4.2.1*

The events of the story were repetitive in a way that was frustrating. I’m glad I made it to the end, though.

I actually would prefer reading a good novel.

### 5/5 — Engaging stories

*2023-10-24, version 4.2.1*

Thoroughly enjoying these stories :)

### 5/5 — the sun will never go out

*2023-09-24, version 4.2.1*

I’ve done this story a few times and finally got a happy ending, well worth it can’t wait for new stories!

### 4/5 — And the sun went out

*2023-09-07, version 4.2.1*

Such a lovely game!

### 4/5 — Needs more

*2023-08-15, version 4.2.1*

The app is great but needs a reread option and more stories.

### 4/5 — And the sun went out

*2023-08-09, version 4.2.1*

I really enjoyed this book! I truly thought my choices made huge differences in the story. I loved that the romantic part of the storyline was inclusive of queer and aromantic people. I came to enjoy Moti, eventhough they felt like a distraction at first. I am looking forward to going through it again after I check out the other stories!

### 5/5 — Choices Matter + Great Writing

*2023-07-23, version 4.2.1*

Every choice you make actually has consequences and can drastically change the out come of your story, so you feel more absorbed and invested in the characters.

The stories are also very well written and feel more akin to a publishable novel vs. the more “Wattpad”, less professional writing style other interactive games tend to feature.

My only complaint would be the amount of free tickets you get in an hour, but you can earn as many tickets as you want through watching ads, so it isn’t too big a deal.

### 5/5 — A riveting story from start to finish

*2023-07-21, version 4.2.1*

The choices I made in the story made for an interesting one and I was hooked from beginning to end. It had good character development and the themes were positive, also touching.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — doesn't work for free play

*2024-05-24, version 4.2.1*

after playing it for some weeks, I find that there are no more adds for tickets, forcing you to buy the game

### 1/5 — Racialized depictions of black characters

*2024-01-01, version 4.2.1*

Particularly in the story the “heroes are lost” the black team member (number 48) was consistently likened to an animal and a beast. In one instance he is referred to as a “large man like, black creature” which was genuinely so disturbing and saddening to read, especially as a young Black person. I really did enjoy playing this game but am so beyond disheartened to see such a blatantly racist depiction of a Black man. I really hope this is edited in future versions in this game, and for the writers and developers to take accountability and genuinely work towards changing their own perceptions of Black people and work to bring about equity and understanding in their company.

### 1/5 — Got boring really fast

*2022-08-20, version 4.2.1*

I found the story stale. Didn’t see much of a reason to stick around. Story so lacking that I found myself not really thinking about the choices.

### 1/5 — Not enough tickets

*2022-06-26, version 4.2.1*

While the stories are very well written and intriguing, it's a big money grab. They only give you 3 tickets a day, ad's still didn't appear as an option for me after days; yet there's the option to either buy tickets or a pass for the story. An ad every so many selections would've been a better idea, there's no way to progress the story and remember it all with such a low amount of tickets compared to how many selections it gives you (they come up very consistently)

### 1/5 — Crashes all the time

*2022-06-04, version 4.2.1*

Whenever I open it, it shows the tin man games logo for less than a second and crashes immediately.

### 1/5 — Not fun

*2022-03-14, version 4.2.1*

Way too many ads, and the story writing isn’t great. Kinda confusing. Writers seemed to try to make it intense and mysterious, but it’s just confusing and the tone isn’t created well, which leaves it feeling corny. There is a long unskippable ad after every three lines of dialog it seems. Choices are weird and unprompted.

### 1/5 — too many ads

*2022-03-04, version 4.2.1*

I downloaded this not even 5 minutes ago and was excited to start playing. It started the story off with an ad…expected…the got the first choice and the moment I selected one I was interrupted with another ad. Also expected. 30 seconds later, I was presented with another ad. And these aren’t quick ads that you can skip in 5-15 seconds, they’re interactive ones where you’re forced to press the “x” 3 times AND exit out of the pop up where it tries to bring you to the app store.

I understand it’s a free to play game and the devs need to make money, but I play plenty of these kinds of games and this is by far the most ads I’ve ever gotten in such a short period of time. Not even worth it to try to play the game and see what it’s really about…do better devs, I’m sorry.

### 1/5 — I just want a way to get out of viewing ads

*2022-02-17, version 4.2.1*

I would pay to avoid them, just want the option to opt-out of the ad experience. Even if it was 5 bucks to opt out, I would do it. I can’t stand reading two sentences and then getting an ad that lasts longer than it took for me to read the prior portion of the story.

It’s ridiculous guys, just add a “No Ads If You Pay” option please, because plenty of people would buy it and the sheer amount of ads ruins the gaming experience

### 1/5 — don’t bother.

*2022-02-14, version 4.2.1*

got two ads within the first 30 seconds of playing it. i was allowed to read about 5 prompts then got an ad both times. didn’t even get to make any choices yet.

### 1/5 — Too Many (AD) Ads!

*2022-02-14, version 4.2.1*

This game (AD) seemed like a very (AD) creative and (AD) interesting concept. The constant (AD) barrage of ads (AD) every few clicks is really (AD) annoying. I’ve had this (AD) app downloaded pretty much since (AD) it was released, and (AD) the ads (AD) were never this prevalent or (AD) obnoxious.

Definitely not (AD) recommended at this time (AD).

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing

*2026-07-07, version 4.2.3*

I’ve had this for only a few days and I’m already hooked!! The stories are intriguing and nearly impossible to put down. It’s like a cross between reading a good book and playing a good video game, you’re reading the story but also controlling it to an extent. Everyone in the reviews seems to be saying there are too many ads, but I actually have the opposite problem: there aren’t enough ads XD To clarify, I can’t watch ads to get tickets… I would happily watch several ads if it meant I could get a few tickets and blaze ahead, but it won’t let me. Yet even so, I wish there was a 6-star option, and I highly recommend this game to whoever reads this!

### 5/5 — Hübsches Spiel

*2026-07-01*

Gefällt mit sehr gut, spiele aktuell eine Story im Bus. Sehr unterhaltsam.

### 5/5 — Best stories

*2026-01-17, version 4.2.3*

I saved earth

### 5/5 — Best Choose-your-own Adventure game. Period.

*2025-12-23, version 4.2.3*

Can’t recommend this app enough. If you enjoy story-driven, text based choose your own adventure games, it doesn’t get better than this. You get to pick from 3 stories— modern day apocalyptic, Victorian era espionage with alchemy and shapeshifters, or superhero mutants (think X-Men or Winter soldier over superheroes in tights) with some hints of grit & 007 vibes. A diamond in the rough. I’ve already played all three; two of them twice.

### 5/5 — Enjoyed every second

*2025-12-08*

Very interesting action-full storyline, characters are unique and choices are interesting. Also daily choice tokens and ads are fair, I was able to collect many choices by watching many ads before sleep every night. It really felt like a nice book that I was living in. 10/10 highly recommend

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2025-09-24, version 4.2.3*

I loved this game. The story was absolutely incredible and well written. Can’t wait to start the next one :)

### 5/5 — Nice work

*2025-08-22, version 4.2.3*

Great game you got here. It reminds me of those Lifeline games. I played that one “And their Souls were Eaten”. So fun. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks

### 5/5 — Underrated Game

*2025-07-13, version 4.2.3*

It’s been several years since I last played. I keep forgetting to continue. I absolutely love these stories and I love how you can see how your choices may have differed from other players. You get very immersed in the story and attached to each character. I think I cried when something happened to Moti. The stories are very well written. I need to continue and finish them.

### 5/5 — BANGERRRR
