## What is ChoirZone?

ChoirZone is your personal practice studio for choir singing. Bring your score, learn your part, and walk into rehearsal ready.

PRACTICE STUDIO
See the sheet music and hear each voice at the same time, always in sync. Solo your part, mute the rest, slow it down, and loop the tricky four bars until they finally stick. Works with PDF and MusicXML scores.

MARK UP YOUR MUSIC
Add notes and musical stamps exactly where you need them, or draw freehand with your finger or Apple Pencil. Read continuously or page-by-page, like a book.

TRAIN YOUR EAR AND VOICE
On-device exercises that actually listen to you: interval training, sight-reading, rhythm, and a "drift" exercise that shows when you're slipping off pitch. Check your vocal range, warm up, and record yourself to listen back. All pitch detection runs privately on your device.

YOUR WHOLE CHOIR IN ONE PLACE
Share the set list, see who's coming to rehearsal, and point everyone at the exact score. Your singers arrive already knowing the notes — so rehearsal is for making music, not teaching parts.

FREE TO PRACTISE
ChoirZone is free for your own practice. Running a choir with members is available as a subscription.

Made by choir singers, for choir singers.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-19

A big update to how you practise on your own.

Sing along and see how you did
• Record yourself while the backing plays. Turn on "Score my pitch" and your part is muted, then every note is marked on the score: on pitch, close, or off — with the pitch you actually sang shown beside it and how far off it was.
• The scoring adapts to your headphones, Bluetooth included, so the timing is right without any setup.
• Your take is kept as "My Voice" in the mixer, lined up with the other parts, so you can listen back in place.

Your own copy of the music
• Take a copy of a score from the choir's shelf into My Scores. What you write on it is yours, and a newer edition from the conductor is offered rather than swapped in behind your back.
• A score you take is stored on the phone, so it opens with no signal.
• Scores you practise are kept together, ready for next time.

Set lists for the rehearsal and the concert
• The running order works without a signal: open it once and the songs are there.
• Turning past the end of one song leads into the next, the way paper does.
• PDFs are listed first — the sheet the choir actually sings from.

In the Practice Studio
• A back-to-start button beside play.
• Setting the loop end starts the loop straight away.
• The phone's own audio delay is measured for you, instead of asking you to guess it.
• The screen stays awake while you practise, so it no longer goes dark mid-song.
• Sound plays through the ring/silent switch, like a music app.

Practice time and the leaderboard
• Practice counts the time you actually spend playing, recording or singing — not the time a score sits open.
• You can leave the leaderboard from your profile, and choirs can turn it off altogether.

Plus fixes to the score view, recording and playback.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-06

Add to calendar now works properly — pick which calendar a
rehearsal or concert goes into, straight from the event card.

Event times now show your choir's own local time, so the time
your conductor typed is the time everyone reads.

Conductors can ask multiple-choice questions on an event
("Which day can you come? Saturday / Sunday / Both"), and any
notes they add to an event are now visible in the app.

The leaderboard counts practice as well as workouts, and is
back on the home screen.

A tidier schedule: events fold away once you've replied, so a
whole season fits on one screen.
