It originally promised me a lifetime subscription for free for being one of the first customers. Sadly, today something wasn’t working in the app so I deleted it and reinstalled but once I reinstalled it, it’s now asking me to pay for it. Kinda just bummed out. Update! Changing it to one star. I payed to use it and it’s still broken. Nothings working. **Developer response:** Hey, I’m so sorry about these issues! By default, we store data locally on your phone as a privacy measure. This means that deleting the app automatically removes all of your data, including the free subscription flag. That’s why you were paywalled and why your previous data didn’t appear after purchasing Chomp Pro. To prevent this from happening again, you can sync your data in the Settings page. Once synced, you’ll be able to access all of your data in the future by signing in with Google or Apple. Again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there are any other unresolved issues! ### 1/5 — Nah *2025-06-12* Asked for a review before I gave any other info. Got to the main section. You have to put in all factors goal macros and goal cals. Great for experienced gym goers or calorie counters otherwise don’t bother **Developer response:** Sorry to hear Chomp didn’t click with you. We’ve put a lot of time and care into making Chomp simple and flexible, especially around macros, since everyone’s body is different and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we have users to set their own goals instead of filling in generic defaults. We’re also updating onboarding and removing the early review prompt based on feedback like yours. Comparable to the big macro trackers out there but for $1 a month! Such a good deal! Also you can track anything you want. Really happy with this app, would definitely recommend! ### 5/5 — I am Impressed! *2025-01-29* This is the first app I have found that can easily and efficiently track ALL of my personalized nutrition needs. I have been looking for an app that is comprehensive and customized to my own needs and this appears to be it. It allows me to add every one of the nutrients I want to track, be it vitamins, minerals, aminos, or all the other micronutrients I take as supplements—(and it’s a lot, including MANY not so well known ones). Once I input my meal, the app instantly gives me details about every nutrient important to me- all of them! I have never seen this before and I think this app is going to help me a lot. No more guessing about which supplements I need to take or wasting my money on those I don’t. No more spending a ton of time researching each one online, because all of that info is synthesized literally right here on the app. And it is so quick and simple to use on a daily basis.
