### 3/5 — More detail on pieces

*2025-09-24, version 2.6*

When purchasing music it should be made clearer which pieces actually have vocal pieces as misleading when you are asked to select a vocal part and then it downloads the music only . This has happened twice to me know. Also needs to be clearer about Apple charging extra

### 5/5 — Helpful response from Andrew is always prompt

*2025-09-16, version 2.6*

I have been using Choraline with a small group for several years. The tracks are very useful and I know I am giving the group an accurate melody line to learn. Anytime I have had a query I have always had a very prompt helpful reply.
Thank you Andrew

### 4/5 — Choraline is brilliant!

*2025-08-01, version 2.6*

I’ve used Choraline for various works over the years and it has been very useful and helped greatly! I recently had trouble accessing something on the app, so I contacted them via the app and received a reply within a couple of hours which sorted everything! Very pleased and impressed!

### 5/5 — One of the best apps I’ve come across

*2025-07-09, version 2.6*

I love the way the homepage of this Choraline App is laid out. Unique! The menu straightaway provides all the available options. This App is a must for all choral singers. Highly recommended.

### 4/5 — Very useful app - minor tweaks would help

*2025-02-21, version 2.6*

I’ve been using this to learn the bass part for Verdi’s Requiem. It’s made all the difference.

Some minor quibbles. It’s a bit laggy when you navigate around the app. I normally have to try a few times before the drop down menu will open so I can access my “purchased music”.

It would be great if there was a fixed “back” button that would take you back say 10 or 15 seconds (or even just 5 seconds so you can choose how many “taps” you give it to go back), as I sometimes want to practise a tricky few notes over and again, and currently have to hope my fat fingers will side it back to about the right point. (Also, very minor, but the actual back button takes you to the beginning of the *previous* section, not the current one, which is a surprise).

Despite that, I absolutely recommend this service.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Resource

*2025-01-20, version 2.6*

My choral artistic director suggested this app for learning my part. I had no idea such a wonderful resource existed. The price is incredibly reasonable (about $12.50 US)and one can use it forever. Start and stop at your own pace. It is very well done musically and is so easy to use. Then I discovered the Choraline Clinic within this app, which is also wonderful and very inexpensive. Both “Highly Recommend”.

### 5/5 — Robin

*2025-01-14, version 2.6*

Excellent program which I have found most helpful for choral practice over many years. It works brilliantly and their response to the one query I had was excellent. I rate it highly.

### 5/5 — Great Customer Service

*2025-01-13, version 2.6*

I thought I had ordered the correct voice part, but possibly with “fat fingers” did not select the correct button so the downloaded part was incorrect. Within 12 hours the team had added my correct part to the downloaded list on the App to enable me to continue my rehearsals. Thank you

### 5/5 — Very rapid help provided

*2025-01-13, version 2.6*

I’ve used choraline for many years and find it very helpful for learning my part in a SATB score. I had a problem recently making a payment, and I was very impressed by the speed of response (over the weekend) and it was very quickly resolved.

### 5/5 — Elder bass

*2025-01-08, version 2.6*

Simply the best support anyone could ask for if you are not able to sight read music and even if you are the download helps to unpick timings of the really tricky music. These practices have made it possible for me to sing pieces I never thought possible.

### 5/5 — Really helpful and great service

*2025-01-06, version 2.6*

I have used these easy to use recordings for years and found them helpful in learning a piece. They are also very good at responding if you get stuck with the technology.

### 5/5 — Alto1

*2025-01-04, version 2.6*

Great online support and really helpful in learning part

### 5/5 — Everything you need!

*2024-11-05, version 2.6*

The new option to have a singer to put the words with the notes is game changingly WONDERFUL, it makes it so easy to practice in the car/washing up/weeding.

All the new additions of scores and markings are just fantastic – well done! I’m so encouraged I might even try a completely new (to me) piece.

### 5/5 — Invaluable

*2024-10-19, version 2.6*

As an amateur singer with very little experience I find this app just brilliant … such a helpful support to regular choir sessions. On the plus side as well it’s really easy to use and the technical support is second to none…prompt and helpful replies from a real person!! (the developer)

### 5/5 — Wonderful App to learn SATB parts

*2024-10-18*

I am so thrilled to have this App as, with no rehearsals available, it would be so hard to learn my line without it. This makes it so simple and enjoyable. It is extremely well thought out in helping singers in a practicable way.

Also the customer service is fantastic. I contacted Andrew because I could not find the rather obscure piece of music I needed and within the same day he had added it to the App for me! I highly recommend this App for many reasons.

### 5/5 — Great resource

*2024-10-06, version 2.6*

I downloaded Belshazzar’s Feast a month ago on my iPhone and in the last few days I couldn’t access the download as I couldn’t navigate to the download section. The menu button is tiny and possibly isn’t working on my iPhone 15. I had great communication from Choraline, who offered a full refund and who also did everything they could to see why it was glitching on my phone.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2024-10-05, version 2.6*

This app saves my life as I travel a lot, and I can keep practicing thanks to Choraline. The tracks are very clear. The customer service is very good and they responded immediately to one of my questions. I highly recommend Choraline.

### 5/5 — Superb app for learning parts

*2024-09-08, version 2.6*

I’m an inexperienced singer who can hold a note but need to learn the parts really well to sing in our big choir. This app is perfect for that. Great recordings, easy to use and good instructions when listening.

Also first class customer service. I did a couple of stupid things and they were sorted in no time at all. Highly recommended.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bought music now refuses to let me login

*2023-10-06, version 2.6*

I bought music now I cannot login. Their website is so bad that I could not find login help.avoid this

### 1/5 — Something is wrong

*2023-10-06, version 2.6*

Something is wrong with this app. I have tried to go to several menu items and have the error invalid token. I also am not able to purchase or access my purchased items. Please update and fix.

### 1/5 — What a huge disappointment

*2023-09-20, version 2.6*

I was a massive fan of the Choraline website, but the app is awful. The back function is very unresponsive making it frustrating to use, but the biggest shocker was the price. I can’t afford to download all the pieces I need for our next concert, so I’m afraid, I’ve been priced out. Thank God there are other places to get rehearsal files.

### 1/5 — Does not work on iPad Pro

*2020-02-07, version 2.3*

Downloaded with the first 16 tracks missing. Support sent me the same automated reply 4 times. No help. I deleted and tried again. Same hopeless download. I have deleted the app and asked for a refund. Not happy. Not happy.

### 1/5 — Sad little app created by amateurs who don’t know what they’re doing.

*2019-11-23, version 2.2*

I downloaded the app and my first choice is to either join or log in with an existing account. I tried to join but got the message I already had an account. So I tried to back out and try what I guessed might have been the right log in. Only I couldn’t. You are locked into that screen OR you can go back to the App Store. No other options available. I tried to go to the help section as identified on the App Store page, but it just took me to their main business webpage with no obvious link to the help page. If you can’t get past the log in screen, you are dead in the water.

Amateur hour. In the worst way.

### 1/5 — Can’t get started

*2018-12-03, version 1.1*

No email confirmation

### 2/5 — Voices would be better

*2026-01-28, version 2.6*

Rather than following an oboe, it would be much better if Choraline provided a voice singing the parts so that it’s easier to follow the parts. You might get more customers that way.

### 2/5 — Does not function on iPhone16.

*2024-12-28, version 2.6*

I would love to use this app to down load the music on my phone, but I get stuck on a page and can not navigate off. Any suggestions welcome. Also, if I listen to a track online, the down load icon disappears.

### 2/5 — “Purchases are disabled “ on iPhone 12

*2023-09-26, version 2.6*

I have just downloaded your App to my iPhone 12 Pro When I try to purchase music using your App for the first time - after selecting the music from your list , and then attempt to buy it , I get an error “purchases are disabled on your device” . I cannot see the App in Settings either which seems odd. Can you help?

### 2/5 — Choraline

*2022-11-17*

What an utter shambles of an app. Now that I have managed to learn Rutter Magnificat (but not with the help of this app!) I can properly see how shambolic this app actually is! Nothing, NOTHING, is in the correct order: the track order jumps from Letter E (in Gloria Patti, mvmt 7) to letter B (anima mea, mvmt 1) to somewhere in Fecit Potentiam (mvmt 5) … but I only know this now, after the fact….

Another reason I moved to other learning methods was because I couldn’t actually hear the tenor part at all, even when the balance was fully set to R. The other parts are just too loud to decipher your note.

Very disappointed now I’ve realised what a crock this is…

**Developer response:** Dear Hanbag72,

I am sorry the ChoraLine App did not help you with learning the notes for Rutter Magnificat.

It may well be the settings on your device mixed up the tracks when moving them into the 'Downloads' section (so you can rehearse even when you have no WiFi/Internet connection) as we have since tested this rehearsal recording on several devices and all is working perfectly.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app for choral singing

*2026-07-17, version 2.6*

This has helped during preparation for concerts. It’s helped me feel more confident when singing. It’s given me the ability to concentrate and slowing the track down helps with more complex sections.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2026-06-30, version 2.6*

Am new to Choraline but I have so far found it to be brilliant! Am learning Handels Messiah & using this has made it so much easier. I also downloaded the music without a voice by mistake but I asked if they could swap the download which they did with no problem at all. Thank you!

### 5/5 — ChoraLine Review

*2026-06-30, version 2.6*

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-04-17, version 2.6*

So much easier to use than what I remember from the old CD days and if you’re in any doubt there is a very straightforward and informative video to guide you through. Excellent learning tool. 5*****

### 5/5 — I sing its praises

*2026-03-03, version 2.6*

The app is excellent, and the customer service even better. I bought the wrong voice part in error, and this was corrected at once, with no fuss.

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2025-11-09, version 2.6*

I have used Choraline in the past when it was a download onto disc or computer but this app is amazing. So simple to access and use and it is instantaneous. My practice has never been as easy. Thank you so much for your customer service too. Second to none.

### 5/5 — Using Choraline

*2025-10-15, version 2.6*

It is so helpful when I need to learn individual part notes. Excellent help!

### 5/5 — Best Way to Learn

*2025-10-15, version 2.6*

Choraline is still the best way to learn. I have tried other platforms, but none is as good as Choraline. I can’t recommend them enough. Give them a try.
