Purchased thinking I could use it alongside other audio apps for practicing guitar with iPad and it doesn’t work for that at all. Running any other audio app at the same time causes Chordbot to freak out, and it just plays glitchy noise. Thought maybe hosting in AUM might work but even that results in noise.
So, I guess I’ll just have to make tracks and export the audio to play along with. Not ideal. Wish the developer would modernize this ancient thing 🪨

I’ve been using Chordbot for several years already. I like it a lot because it is simple to use and lets me play along for hours. I just select the speed and the chords I want to play over and your good to go! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This app is a great little composers tool. It’s a great way to experiment with chords and harmony while also using the different comping styles to try out different feels. Then export MIDI, load into a DAW, and off you with a great foundation for a new track.

This is a powerful and fun song creator.  My gnarled fingers can’t play a keyboard, and the interface here lets me choose the chord lot, type, duration etc all from the screen / menus.  This is surprisingly wonderful for creating synthwave, which is a feature I didn’t expect when I bought it.

The main benefit to me is that I can very easily take a written chord progression and translate it to sound.  All the rest is an excellent bonus.

hello you dear developers. Your app is so great. but when will an update come with fills for the drums? Your app is the most varied I know. The only thing really missing are those damn fills. PLEASE PLEASE!!! Then the fourth or fifth star will shine :D

Edit: another star less!! Now only one star. Things above have still not changed. AND in the Help file you describe the possibility to switch off GM standard in order to avoid wrong instrument assign in newer apps. There is NO SUCH BUTTON.

It's a great app to search for chord progressions on theway... could be cool to have something like pads, choose some chords and play with the pads the convinations. But well its still amazing like it is right now

Update: I haven’t been returning to this app lately. What holds me back is the menu based UI system. 
Even now, there are a lot of great elements to this app, the UI is just too clunky to maneuver.

I’ve been using Chordbot for years. 

It is user friendly and is the simplest way to create backing tracks. There are a good amount of styles to choose from. I appreciate the way you get to choose chords; how they’re highlighted according to suitability.

This has easily been my best app purchase.

Would love it if you would implement dark mode.

It’s hard to express just how good this app is….

I’ve been looking for a ‘simple’ backing generator for quite some time…. I have Roland/Yamaha/Digitech Trio and lots of apps…. This is by far the best thing I have found…..

To the Dev: please keep it going and add features and more ‘styles’, well done, this is superb….

基本的な機能は星5です。

しかし、そろそろ新しい機能が欲しいです。テンプレートのコード進行とフレーズを追加。フレーズの編集。QY70にあったように自作のフレーズをコードやコード進行に当てはめる機能。音源強化。wavやmp3から解析など。もちろん、有料でいいので機能を増やして欲しいです。

なお、低評価をしている人はほとんど使い方がわかってない人ばかりです。保存は何曲でもできるし、GUIもかなりわかりやすいです。音が出ないとか、アプリが落ちるとかもないです。

Genau danach hatte ich gesucht. Einfach zu bedienen, tolle Soundqualität. Mit wenig Aufwand ein kleines Stück zusammensetzen, dazu mitspielen und nach Laune erweitern oder umändern. Die Sounddatenbank ist schon mächtig, ggf. spendieren die Entwickler ja noch ein paar Varianten on top. Wer sein Gehör und seine Akkorde trainieren möchte, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Und auch sehr wohltuend: kein Abo, einmal kaufen und fertig. Habt ihr gut gemacht, die App habe ich aber nur gefunden, weil ich Blogs gelesen hab.

This is really awesome.. I purchased on both my iPad and through google play for my Chromebook… so many different styles.  I export the midi file to GarageBand to change some of the sounds. I have even exported as wav file and then import that into Suno.AI to help manage/control the chords progressions in my AI creations.. loving this!. Also, I have on my phone, so if something comes to mind when I’m not at home, I  can create on the go and then share to my IPad
