### 5/5 — Best of its kind

*2026-07-03*

Chordio is by far the best app of its kind. I use it every day in the studio as a writing tool for work. The creator is also super friendly and passionate and continuing to make it even better. 6/5 stars!

### 5/5 — UPDATE

*2026-06-26, version 3.1.4*

Thanks for the update. I haven't explored it fully yet, but the addition of the hold button alone is a fantastic improvement to Chordio. I have complex software like Synfire/Scaler for theory, but this little app is very usable, and I use it much more than the complex software. It's just so easy to use, has a great interface, chord recognition and much more.

### 1/5 — Constant interruption

*2026-04-19, version 3.1.0*

What's the point of offering free features if an "upgrade to premium" prompt CONSTANTLY cuts the audio, the MIDI input and interrupts the flow? I can't experience what the app has to offer for more than a minute at a time. I can't record chords ideas because of this. Bad pushy design.

### 5/5 — Chordio is the app I’ve been looking for !

*2026-02-26, version 3.0.6*

What a great app with such a useful set of tools for learning. Connecting to a DAW is so simple too. It also has a good piano sounds but I like going through Ableton live to use my piano of choice while working in Chordio.

### 4/5 — Great but not for Germans ;)

*2026-02-17, version 3.0.6*

Great program, all I ever wanted to show my students keys, scales and chords. But I’m missing a setting for German note names. I read “H” but hear “B,” and I read “Bb” but hear “B.” A solfège setting (e.g., for France or Italy) is also missing. With these features, it would be an instant buy for me. Unfortunately I can’t use it in class this way.

### 1/5 — It would be nice if you don’t ask me to pay every 2 minutes

*2026-02-07*

.

### 2/5 — Generally Ok, button big disadvantage

*2026-01-22, version 3.0.6*

Generally this app would be a good tool and it has a lot of helpful skills. But: The virtual keyboard has some major bugs which makes the app nearly unusable. Even the standard 88 key keyboard starts with with a G# in bass. That is definitive wrong. But the main bug is the 61 key onscreen keyboard. A regular 61 keyboard starts with C in Bass and ends with C in Treble. The Chordio Keyboard starts with F (only half on screen), the first whole key shown in Bass is F#. On Treble side it ends with B. A real 61 Keyboard ends with C. The chordio images in the App Store don’t show the keyboard layout what the real app does. Store I reported this bug, but unfortunately the developers seem not to be interested in fixing this. Because of this I rate the app with poor 2 stars. Otherwise I would rate it with 5 stars.

### 1/5 — Non stop bothering for a £15 purchase

*2025-08-08, version 3.0.1*

If the developer wanted to charge a reasonable price I might consider buying but for now the free version is unusable because of non stop persevering for purchases

### 5/5 — Can’t access my purchase

*2025-07-17*

Hi today I bought the premium upgrade and I also purchased all 7 chords packs but their no way to restored my purchase and also I bought the Rnb sheet music I still can’t access my purchase or even restor my purchase please help after all I would recommend this amazing app but need some bug fix.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2025-07-12, version 3.0.1*

Adding chords just doesn't work. Connected to my Ymaha keyboard through midi - that works. However, the dragged a chord name to the composition area doesn't work. Pity.
