## What is Chordpeek?

Chordpeek is a private guitar workstation that recognizes live chords, turns ideas into structured charts, and keeps the tools you need to rehearse in one focused app.

SONGBOARD STUDIO
Build a complete chord chart from live detections or manual entry. Organize chords into song sections, set beats and tempo, infer the likely key, see roman numerals, transpose the whole chart, rehearse against a synchronized metronome, and share a clean plain-text chart. Songboards are saved locally and remain editable.

LIVE CHORD ANALYSIS
Play near your device and see the detected chord, confidence, heard notes, fingering, matching keys, harmonic function, and roman-numeral role in real time.

TUNE AND PRACTICE
Use the precision chromatic guitar tuner, configurable metronome, ear-training sessions, practice timer, streak history, and strumming-pattern library.

OFFLINE MUSIC REFERENCE
Browse and bookmark the built-in chord library, inspect string-by-string fingerings, explore scales and modes, compare related keys, study common progressions, transpose progressions, and calculate capo positions.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, subscription, advertising, analytics, or server is required. Microphone audio is analyzed on device and is never recorded, stored, transmitted, or uploaded. Songboards, favorites, and practice history stay on your device.

Songboard Studio turns live or manually entered chords into complete, locally saved charts. Organize sections and beats, infer the key, view roman numerals, transpose an entire arrangement, rehearse against synchronized timing, duplicate charts, and share clean text versions.

This release also brings a sharper five-tab layout, stronger text contrast, larger supporting labels, compact iPhone controls, a dedicated iPad songbook sidebar, and unified theory tools for progressions, scales, and capo planning.

### 2.0.1 — 2026-06-23

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, so every screen reads as a clean column. iPhone is unchanged; still fully on-device.

Introducing Tuner Mode — a precise chromatic tuner with a smooth needle, standard and alternate tunings, and an adjustable 432-446 Hz reference, sharing the same on-device listening engine as chord detection. Plus deterministic chord matching and a full accessibility pass.

Keys & Function: when Chordpeek detects a chord live or you view one in the library, a new section shows every diatonic key that chord belongs to, its roman-numeral degree (I, IV, V, vi…), and its harmonic role — Tonic (stable/home), Subdominant (movement), or Dominant (tension). Now you know not just what chord you're playing, but where it lives in the key.

Favorites: tap the bookmark icon on any chord in the Library or on the live listen screen to save it. A new Saved filter in the Library shows only your bookmarked chords. Stored locally on your device — no account needed.
