Not with arguments, but with data. It tracks every task, weighs difficulty, and uses a fairness algorithm to automatically assign chores to whoever has genuinely done the least. No more mental score-keeping. No more passive-aggressive sticky notes on the fridge. HOW IT WORKS Create your home. Invite your partner or housemates. Add chores — or start from our defaults across 9 categories (cleaning, cooking, yard, laundry, pets, and more). Rate each chore by difficulty — scrubbing the shower weighs more than sorting mail. Each day, Chore Chores looks at everyone's recent workload and assigns tasks based on those scores, so the effort balances out over time. SCHEDULES THAT MATCH REAL LIFE Daily, weekly, monthly, every 3 days, twice a week, specific days — set whatever makes sense and forget about it. Need a chore done morning and evening? Multi-occurrence scheduling handles it. Missed a chore? It persists until it's done. Break big jobs into sub-task checklists so "clean the kitchen" means the same thing to both of you — counters, stove-top, dishes, floor. No more "I cleaned it" when they just wiped one surface. Did you forget to mark off a chore? Long press the chore and select Backdate to set it to the day you finished it! Fixed a bug that was not reflecting completed chores on the 'Dirty Meter' in All Chores until you refreshed the screen or app. Marking off a chore should reflect on that screen immediately now. Additional optimization to make the app faster ### 3.8.0 — 2026-06-04 Rotation chores can now be assigned to multiple people per day. You can set a start date on a chore to delay it being assigned until a specific date. Chores that are assigned Every N days/weeks/months can be set to 'strict' this means they will occur on the same timeline from the start date instead of reseting on the completed date. Unassigned chores can be marked completed at any time to reset the timer ### 3.1.3 — 2026-05-29 You no longer need to check off each item in a checklist chore to complete it. You can click the complete checkbox just like 'basic' chores without needed to click each checkbox. Fixed a bug that was marking ALL chores as on time on the analytics screen. They should reflect properly now and the counts will stabilize over time. Update the history screen past due chore completion. When the chore is completed it will now show the day it was completed instead of x days.
