### 4/5 — I give 4 stars…..

*2025-08-11, version 5.2.1*

So basically everything is so good. I love how you can like earn stars for stuff like rewards, but the only thing is weird about that is like when you get in the stars when you go to your rewards and you try to tap it like it glitches you out of the app so I feel like that needs some fixing but other than all it’s a pretty good app

### 3/5 — Please fix payout feature

*2025-03-17, version 5.2.1*

This app is an awesome idea and the features of choosing the jobs and icons to go with them is great. However, the payout feature to redeem their points doesn’t work = the app crashes and no points can be redeemed. Please can you fix this? For a paid app I think it is reasonable for all features to work properly.

### 3/5 — Love APP but…

*2024-08-26*

I love the APP overall because it is so easy to use. My issue is that it is supposed to automatically sync and it is not, so I have no way of looking at the app to see what each child has completed before granting rewards. This is very inconvenient. I hope I am doing something wrong. The app was originally downloaded on my iPad where I created chores and delegated to my children. I linked it with my Dropbox. They have been excited to check off the chores daily but when I pull up the APP it is completely blank and when I try to sync NOTHING. It says I only have to sync once. I am confused. I also sent out for some support and the email was sent back to me undelivered. No known sender. Please help!! If I can get it to sync appropriately then I would give this APP 5 stars

### 2/5 — good app but desperatley needs an update

*2023-10-25, version 5.2.1*

a fantastic app, but every time I go to “payout” a reward, it simply exits the app. As this is a critical feature of the app, I have only given 2 stars. If this was fixed, it would earn a 5 star review.

### 2/5 — Syncing does NOT work

*2023-05-25, version 5.2.1*

I’m very frustrated with this app. We loved it and used it for years. Then we started to notice that the kids stars they worked hard to earn got “robbed”. I kept wondering why the kids would come to me crying saying someone erased their stars. Turns out the app DOES NOT sync between devices. Even if you go in and try to manually do it (yes my auto sync option is turned on on all devices), it gives an error code of “failed to unzip file path /var/mobile/containers………”
I looked at other reviews and saw a website where chorepad admin tells ppl to go to sync their devices. I typed it in exactly and got an error message that the website wasn’t secure and it kicked me out.
If this app worked, it would be in my top 5 best apps ever. Please help me get this resolved, chorepad. This is what we use to teach personal responsibility to kids during the summer and has been a game changer for us.

### 3/5 — Daily schedule

*2022-12-07, version 5.2.1*

It’s a great app and I searched for something like this for weeks!

I’d love to see 2,features:
1. Items set for specific days don’t show up on the other days. Now it shows up with a gray box that can’t be filled in.
2. I’d like an easier way of editing a box in the moment as I’m checking it off without having to unlock the child and edit it using a whole process

### 4/5 — App needs an update badly

*2022-12-06, version 5.2.1*

I want to start by saying how much we love this app because of how customizable and intuitive and user friendly it has been for us for years. We use this app for our adult day program, for developmentally disabled adults. It perfectly helps remind them of tasks and check them off when completed, to ensure they are getting the services they are supposed to receive and allows administrators to check the service providers’ records against the client’s records. We have been using it for years and there is nothing else on the market remotely like it. The app allows us to upload client pics for icons, to keep service tasks easily recognisable for clients who don’t read well, and the spreadsheet format of tasks down the side, and days of week across the top is simple and intuitive for staff to follow. We can see get the week of tasks at a glance, and we can scroll back to make sure tasks were done last week, or see if an activity is consistently being refused. Some clients have 20 tasks that are being tracked at different repeating intervals, over the year. The only thing it doesn’t have is reminders for 6 week, quarterly, biannual and annual intervals, as the longest repeating interval is “every 5 weeks.”

You would think these would be standard features for chore apps, but they aren’t, and this old standby is getting really glitchy. I just had it get stuck in sync on one iPad and have tried everything from offloading and restarting and reloading, to deleting the old sync files (which was years of data), to erasing all accessible connections to the app from the iPad. Still, when I reload the app, it opens automatically to the last sync that was running when it glitched and crashes. I’m afraid my only hope is to factory reset the iPad, which will cost us even more data. I have searched three days for an alternative app. There is nothing else that does what this app does so simply. It’s down to the last resort, and hopefully that will work, but Chore Pad LLC needs to update this soon, so this app remains relevant. I can’t be the only one who desperately needs it to do the simple stuff it does beautifully at an affordable price. I would pay the purchase price again to keep it working another 5-10 years.

### 2/5 — Privacy risk

*2022-10-11, version 5.2.1*

2022 review edit: I’d like to sync devices with my kids, since they are older now. It appears that the only way to do that is using dropbox, which presents significant privacy concerns as well as security concerns. I attempted to email customer support for Chore Pad to see if there was another option and the email bounced back saying the address was no longer correct. The developer website is also unsupported. And there is no privacy policy for chorepad in the App Store. I’m bailing on this app and looking for something that is still supported and more secure. A shame.

First tried this app when the kids were four and six and it didn't work so well. Sticker charts with immediate tangible rewards worked better then. But now the kids are eleven, nine, and five, and it's working great as a summer chore chart. They're old enough to appreciate the value of saving up for the rewards they really want. And I finally have help with the mess! I wish they would add and an icon library or a way to access emoticons for the rewards chart. And I wish they would add badges, like Fitbit offers. I use this chart for myself to keep track of my chores as well. It would be fun to get a badge for competent adulting!

### 4/5 — Works great.

*2022-02-13, version 5.2.1*

We use it for our 6 year old. He likes getting things done with this checklist app.

### 2/5 — Point redemption crashes with new iOS update.

*2022-02-03, version 5.2.1*

It’s been a few weeks since I reported this bug with the company and it still hasn’t been fixed. Basically, since iOS latest update, the app crashes when redeeming points for prizes. Please fix this soon, we use this app daily and my child is frustrated that his points keep accumulating for his chores, but he can’t claim his prizes. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2021-10-21, version 5.2.1*

Interfaz muy amigable, y excelente para motivar a toda la familia. Gracias.

### 4/5 — Pretty cool

*2021-09-09, version 5.2.1*

This app does a great job at tracking chores and other tasks. The star system is flexible and easy to set up. Great parental controls make it easy to lock things like checking off items and redeeming rewards, just in case your child is a bit too eager. I would like to see an option for Every Other Day as well as setting specific days, as we have two children who alternate some chores daily, and weekends get a bit murky.
I don’t regret spending money on this!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2025-01-04, version 5.2.1*

Frustrating to use, doesn’t synch properly. Wish I hadn’t invested my time in this.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-07-31, version 5.2.1*

Was able to set up on my kids phones but now it no longer syncs and is unusable.

### 1/5 — Don’t Buy - Not Active

*2024-06-03, version 5.2.1*

I loved this app at first, it was just what I wanted for tracking chores and rewarding my kids but after a day it stopped syncing with their devices. The app hasn’t been updated in 6 years and their website and Facebook page are inactive. Don’t waste your money unless you’re only using it on one device and therefore don’t need it to sync up with your child’s device.

### 1/5 — No customer support!

*2023-07-18, version 5.2.1*

I tried the light version and I liked it. Then I bought the full version but I don’t know how lo link both apps. I tried contacting customer support but it says it is no existing!!!!!! Fraud!!

### 1/5 — No longer functional

*2023-04-16, version 5.2.1*

It seems like we’ve outlasted the app. We’ve used this since the beginning with multiple kids. But ever since last iOS update, the sync feature crashes the phone and doesn’t work on the iPad. It was good while it lasted.

### 1/5 — Could be a strong 5

*2022-10-13, version 5.2.1*

Shared the app with my son…he had to pay…shared from family (I don’t like to share all of my apps) it’s like we have 2 separate apps.

### 1/5 — No longer supported

*2022-06-15, version 5.2.1*

I purchased this app only to find that it is no longer supported. The app is unable to sync among devices, as marketed, and there is no customer support. Would NOT recommend this app.

### 1/5 — Does Not Device Share

*2022-02-22, version 5.2.1*

If you only want to use this on one device you are set. But if you were planning on doing a device share, you need another app to sync the data. It’s not worth it!

### 1/5 — None of feature works

*2019-02-06, version 5.2.1*

The star won’t add up it’s always stays at 0. I can’t add imagines to each chore list. It only runs the very basic, it lets my kids check of chores but that’s it. I tried emailing but app just kicks me out.

### 1/5 — Horrible workflow and onboarding

*2018-12-29, version 5.2.1*

Too many issues to list them all here.

You can't create an account and sync across devices without Dropbox (apparently you can't even do that - I installed it on my iPad and iPhone but there's no way to sync across devices). Can't install on your kid's device so they can access the list of chores.

Can't skip the welcome tour.

Can't do multi actions at once.

This app feels like it was designed for kids more than for parents to a set up.

Deleted the app and wasted my money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please help!

*2026-06-02, version 6.3*

Hi ChorePad Support Team,
I am writing to you because I made a mistake and deeply regret requesting a refund through Apple. I wanted to explain what happened in hopes that you can help me keep my account active.
I got this app last month. Recently, when I saw a notice saying I had to pay for a subscription, I automatically assumed that the app had changed completely and that I was going to be forced to pay monthly subscriptions. In a moment of panic because this had happened before I immediately submitted a refund request to Apple.
However, right after that, I updated the app and read the notice carefully. I now see that I was actually being offered free Lifetime access because of my legacy status.
I love your app and absolutely do not want to lose my free Lifetime access. Since Apple does not allow users to cancel a refund request once it is submitted, I am worried their system will automatically revoke my account status once the refund processes.
If Apple approves the request and my access is turned off, is there any way you can help me restore my free legacy Lifetime status on your end?
Thank you so much for your time and for taking care of your long-time users! I sent an email but have not received any responses.
Best regards
Kyles mom

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-08-24, version 5.2.1*

Great app! Please add widget so kids can update the chores without opening the I pad, that will be better..

### 5/5 — Such a good app

*2023-11-16, version 5.2.1*

I love this app I used to hate doing chores but now I love it it is so easy to earn rewards and have fun at the same time I love this app it is worth the money and even the trial run app is good I got the full version because I have so many chores to get done but I still think both trial and full version are great I definitely recommend this app and it Is worth the pay

### 5/5 — So helpful

*2023-09-04, version 5.2.1*

Great app, and my 7 year old is racing around doing chores to tick boxes. Could be even better if you could rearrange the week to start on Monday, not Sunday.

### 5/5 — 10 kids works like a charm!

*2023-07-20, version 5.2.1*

I have 10 children my oldest is 19 I bought this app when it very very first came out, and we have used it for many years! I still include my older children just to keep them on task, but my younger children love the thrill of earning stars, and hearing the tokens, go into their little bank account! I use another app called ChoreStick to get ideas for adding chores to their list on their individual tab. Sometimes we spin the sticks on ChoreStick just for fun when we’re doing a 15 minute family clean up but this chore chart is really worth the money for the day to day encouragement :) I would love to see some new background themes just a suggestion maybe also adding a list of chores for suggestions that are already automatically in the queue so you can just select pre-existing select chores and then add your own to the list. And another thing is that I would love it if I could assign more stars to one thing Other than just 10 stars. Thanks a mill! One Happy Momma⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

### 5/5 — If you need to keep your kids cleaning this is the app for you

*2022-10-12, version 5.2.1*

If you need to keep you kid cleaning, this is the app for you, it works great, you can add as many chores as you want! It is super simple to use, and I absolutely love this app. Who ever made this app, Great job! ❤️

### 5/5 — This is Great

*2022-09-13, version 5.2.1*

This app has been a game changer with my daughter for all chores around the home and for her listening ears to get most complete. She really enjoys checking off what she’s done with me and also loves that it each day tracks her accomplishments. It’s a great way to feel rewarded and worth the buy.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-06-05, version 5.2.1*

Really helps motivate the kids to get a few simple jobs done. Easy to modify to their abilities

### 5/5 — Effective

*2022-02-05, version 5.2.1*

I’ve got six kids that used to have sticker charts. This is a way better alternative for busy parents.

### 5/5 — We love it!

*2022-01-05, version 5.2.1*

We have a household of three kids (11, 7, and 1) and two adults. My husband and I are both returning to outside the home full-time work for the first time in 2 years and were looking for an app to not only help the kids make sure they’re doing their chores and homework, but also a way for us to divide household duties so we can spend our free time together as a family instead of catching up on cleaning and cooking, it’s working very well. We use it on a centrally located iPad in the kitchen and the family is always checking on their assignments for the day and asking for their stars. My kids have even started asking to add chores, like helping cook dinner instead of just helping clean up! Winning for us!
