## What is ChoreLocks?

ChoreLocks turns "did you do your chores?" into a game your kids actually want to win.

Parents build each kid's chore list. Kids prove their work with a photo, and our AI checks it against YOUR standard. Until the list is done, their apps stay locked — no nagging required. When it's done, they earn points they can spend on rewards you approve.

HOW IT WORKS
• Create chores for each kid — one-time, daily, or weekly
• Set when each chore is due: before school, after school, or anytime
• Kids snap a photo to prove the job is done
• AI verifies honest work (parents can always override)
• Apps on the kid's iPhone or iPad stay locked until the list is cleared
• Points land automatically — no arguments, no scorekeeping

MAKE IT A GAME
• Levels from Rookie to Legend, with streak multipliers up to 2x
• A daily Mystery Chore secretly worth double
• Spin-the-wheel bonus when everything's done
• Monthly badge board with bonus points for every badge
• Wins & Misses: reward the good stuff beyond chores — and note the misses

BUILT FOR REAL FAMILIES
• Every kid gets their own login with their own list
• Pick the time locks start, so school mornings and alarms stay free
• Family chat with reactions and read receipts
• Add each kid's school calendar — days off relax the locks automatically
• Rewards store: screen time, treats, real gift cards — you decide what's on the shelf and what it costs
• Weekend mode and adjustable deadlines

Parents manage everything from their own iPhone. Kids need an iPhone or iPad with Screen Time permissions.

Free to start with the full chore system. Plus and Pro add more kids, more AI checks, wish lists, calendar, and the Family Wallet.

ChoreLocks: they do the work, they get the reward. Everyone wins.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-26

Our biggest update yet — built from real family feedback:

• LEGENDARY REWARDS — set ONE dream prize (a LEGO set, a graded card, a new bike). It becomes a gold quest in every kid's store, with an epic claim-it moment when they hit the goal. Parents get a nudge at halfway so there's time to order it.

• PARENT DASHBOARD ON THE WEB — run the family from any computer or tablet at chorelocks.com/dashboard: review chore photos, give points, stock the reward store with one tap, set kids' profile photos, even grant a Free Pass.

• THE STORE IS ALIVE — Deal of the Day, the Mystery Box, and surprise Power Hours (double points!) make kids actually look forward to tomorrow's chores.

• FREE PASS — one tap from a parent unlocks a kid's phone for the rest of the day. Movie night, road trip, good report card — you're the boss.

• A FAIRER AI JUDGE — chore photos are now graded like a proud parent would: effort counts, wrinkles are fine, mismatched sheets are fine, and an honest third try always passes.

• 60-SECOND SETUP — new families are up and running in under a minute, with an invite link you just text to the kids' phones.

Plus: kid profile photos, a setup checklist on kids' phones so nothing gets missed, and lots of polish.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-20

ChoreLocks just got FUN. This is our biggest update yet:

• LEVELS & STREAKS — kids level up from Rookie to Legend, and chore streaks multiply their points (3 days = 1.5x, a full week = 2x!)
• MYSTERY CHORE — one chore each day is secretly worth DOUBLE
• SPIN THE WHEEL — finish everything and spin for bonus points
• BADGES — monthly badge board with bonus points for every badge earned
• WINS & MISSES — log the good and the not-so-good beyond chores, with a family ledger everyone can see
• SCHOOL CALENDARS — add each kid's school calendar; days off automatically relax that kid's locks (multi-school families, we see you)
• BEFORE SCHOOL / AFTER SCHOOL — set when each chore is due, and pick the time locks start so school mornings stay free
• FAIRER PHOTO CHECK — sloppy retries cost points for older kids, never for little ones; faster checks with a clear timeout
• Profile photos for kids, light/dark theme choice, chat read receipts, a sleeker parent dashboard, and a fresh animated welcome tour

### 1.1 — 2026-08-14

ChoreLocks now ACTUALLY locks the apps.

NEW - Real App Blocking (Plus): when chores are due, every app on your kid's phone is shielded by Apple Screen Time until the work is done. New downloads are covered automatically. Phone and emergency calls always work, and parents pick a few always-allowed apps (like Messages and Maps).

- Out of the house? The lock waits at home - school and outings are never blocked.
- Phone breaks now shield apps too.
- Parent-only setup, protected by one-time invite codes.
- Fail-safe by design: if anything goes wrong, the phone opens up. ChoreLocks never fails locked.

Plus: smoother family joining and sign-in on new devices.
