## What is ChorePlay?

No more reminding each other.

ChorePlay is the shared to-do list for your household: for couples and everyone you share a home with. Add a chore, give it to someone or put it up for grabs, and ChorePlay does the reminding. Nobody has to chase anybody.

CHORES FIRST. SCROLL LATER.
If you like, your own chores can pause apps you pick, like social media or videos, until they’re done. You choose the apps, on your own iPhone, and you decide whose chores may pause them. Done, and your apps are free again.

HOW IT WORKS
• Add chores in seconds: a title, an emoji, when it’s due, and who does it.
• “I’m on it” tells the others you’ve seen it. No more “did you see my message?”
• Reminders come from ChorePlay, not from your partner.
• Not now? Snooze it for 15 minutes or an hour.
• Can’t make it? Propose a new deadline. Whoever gave you the chore agrees with one tap.
• Up for grabs: chores anyone can take with “I’ll do it”.
• Repeating chores: every day, on weekdays, every other week, or your own rule. Take turns, or do it together.
• Together: one chore for two or more people, and one Done counts for everyone.
• Skip this time when a repeating chore isn’t needed, instead of pretending it’s done.
• A photo when it’s done, if the chore asks for one.
• Works for your own to-dos too: a 10-minute workout, stretching, that call you keep putting off.

YOU’RE IN CONTROL
• Pausing apps is optional. ChorePlay works as a shared to-do list without it.
• You pick the apps yourself, on your own iPhone. Nobody else sees which ones, not even us.
• Chores you add for yourself can pause your apps. For everyone else’s, you decide person by person: automatically, or only after you tap “I’m on it”.
• “Free my apps” is always there, as often and for as long as you need. You can also switch off ChorePlay’s Screen Time access in Settings at any time.

SCREEN TIME
ChorePlay uses Apple’s Screen Time to pause the apps you choose while one of your chores is due. Which apps you choose and how you use them stays on your iPhone. Your household sees your chores, never your apps.

PRIVACY
No ads and no tracking, and we never sell your data. Sign in with Apple: ChorePlay asks for your name, not your email address. You can delete your account in the app at any time (Me › Delete account).

Made for adults who share a home. On your own ChorePlay is free, and your own chores always are, pausing your apps included. Sharing chores in a household is ChorePlay Plus: one subscription covers everyone.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-31

New since 1.0:
• “I did it for Kim”: did someone else’s chore? Mark it done for them. They’re told, and it counts for you. Whoever did it, the person it was for or whoever added it can take it back within 24 hours.
• ChorePlay now speaks French, Italian and Spanish.
• Repeating chores show in Activity when they’re added, changed or ended.
• A new chore’s emoji follows its title, in all five languages.
• Tidier lists: a chore’s buttons line up in one column, and its details break cleanly.
• Inviting is clearer: you see what the other person gets.
• A smoother setup, Today shows your chores when your iPhone is sideways, and the pause screen shows the ChorePlay icon.
