## What is Chores Auction?

Chores Auction makes household chores fun, fair, and rewarding for the whole family.

Assign chores to each household member, track progress through the week, and earn XP for getting things done.  Finish early for a bonus — procrastinate and pay the penalty.

Team integration has been added: only the team manager can create a shareable chore, and only team members can edit their own chores. However, a user can create personal chores for themselves. 
Weekly Dashboard
Chores are organized by day of the week. Tap any day to see what's scheduled, who's responsible, and how much time it takes.

XP & Rewards
Every chore earns XP based on its duration. Complete it before the scheduled day for a +50% bonus. Finish late and take a -25% penalty. A simple system that keeps everyone motivated.

Household Teams
Create a team and invite your family or roommates. Each member gets a personal profile with a name and emoji. Track individual scores and team progress at a glance.

Private iCloud Sync
Data syncs securely across your devices through your private iCloud account. No sign-up required — just your Apple ID.

No Ads. No Tracking.
Your data never leaves your device and iCloud. No third-party services. No data collection.

Chores Auction — Feature Summary

  Team & Account Management

  - Create a team — generates a 6-digit share code and a CKShare so family members on different iCloud accounts can join
  - Join a team by code — looks up the code in a public CloudKit registry, accepts the CKShare, and syncs the shared team automatically
  - Cross-account sync — all team data (chores, members, XP) lives in the CloudKit shared database, visible to every accepted participant

  Role-Based Access

  - Manager (team creator) — sees all chores across every day, can add, edit, and delete chores, and assign them to any team member
  - Member — sees only their own assigned chores, can mark them complete or incomplete on their device

  Chore Management

  - Add Chore — manager picks a title, duration (5 min–3 hr), XP points, weekday, and assigns to a team member
  - Edit Chore — swipe right on any chore row to edit title, duration, day, or assignee
  - Delete Chore — swipe left (manager only)
  - Complete / Uncomplete — tap any chore row to toggle; XP is calculated with time-based bonuses (+50% early, −25% late)

  Default Chore Schedule

  - 14 chores are seeded automatically across all 7 days after first onboarding
  - Distributed evenly across all team members
  - Version-controlled via UserDefaults["sampleDataVersion"] — bumping the version number redeploys updated defaults on next launch
