## What is ChoreScroll?

ChoreScroll turns screen time into something kids earn, not something parents have to fight about every day. Free to start: up to 2 kids, no card needed.

HOW IT WORKS
Set the chores. Pick the apps to lock. Your kid finishes a chore, takes a photo as proof, and ChoreScroll's AI checks it right away. Clearly done? Apps unlock automatically. Not sure? It goes to you for a 10-second approval from wherever you are, not just standing over their shoulder.

No more "I already did it" arguments. No more manually toggling Screen Time restrictions app by app. The apps your kid wants stay locked until the chores are actually done, verified, not just claimed.

BUILT ON APPLE'S SCREEN TIME
ChoreScroll uses Apple's Family Controls framework directly. The same system-level technology behind Screen Time, so app blocking is enforced by iOS itself, not a workaround that a tech-savvy kid can uninstall or bypass.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Free Plan, no payment method required, ever

Up to 2 kids, 1 chore each, with real photo verification and a real screen-time shield
1 shared Family Chore
Accountability Mode for you, with 1 chore

Family Plan

Unlimited kids on one account (more available upon request)
Unlimited chores, each with photo verification
AI does the first check; you get the final say on anything unclear
A shared parent approval queue where either parent can review from their own phone
Daily reset, so the routine repeats itself without you resetting anything

Solo Plan, Accountability Mode
For adults who want the same discipline for themselves. Lock your own distracting apps behind your own tasks: work, workouts, house projects, or whatever you're avoiding. No self-approval loophole: if the AI isn't confident the task is done, you retake the photo. You can't talk your way past it, because neither can anyone else.

Every Family plan includes Accountability Mode for the parents, too.

ALSO NEW: SPOUSE BOARD
Chores aren't just for the kids. Co-parents can run their own shared task list and split reward points with each other — one more thing off your plate, not just theirs.

WANT UNLIMITED? TRY IT FREE FOR 7 DAYS
Family and Solo plans remove every free-plan limit and add AI auto-approval, recurring schedules, and the shared approval queue. Both start with a 7-day free trial, card required by Apple's rules. Cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.

PRIVACY, BUILT IN FROM THE START
Chore photos are used only to verify the task and are automatically deleted on a rolling basis, never kept longer than necessary. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

ChoreScroll is built for parents managing real households, not another app to babysit, but one less thing to argue about.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-10-08

What's new in 1.0.6:
• Chores that unlock specific apps now work on their own: they lock only those apps, without locking the rest of your kid's blocked list
• Heads-up when you pick more than 50 individual apps: iOS can only block 50, so we now tell you and suggest choosing whole categories to block more
• Core and bonus chores: mark any chore as a bonus so it still earns credit but never breaks a streak
• Weekly streak freeze: one missed day a week is forgiven, so a single slip no longer wipes out a long streak
• Smarter photo retakes: if a photo isn't quite right, the AI tells your kid exactly what's missing, and they get up to 3 tries before it goes to a parent
• New chores lock apps right away: a chore added for today now shields apps immediately (set a later time or date to schedule it)
• Cleaner My Board: your own chores first, then family chores
• Reliability fixes for timed unlocks, bedtime lock, approvals, and Away/Sick days

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-29

Bigger updates in this release:
• Redesigned Today, Actions, and Compete tabs — chores front and center, with a cleaner path to approvals, chore assignment, and family quick actions
• Timed Unlock — set exactly how long earned screen time lasts, with an optional bedtime cutoff so devices re-lock automatically at a set time each night
• Compete tab — streaks, family leaderboard, and badges all in one place, now available to kids on their own device too, not just parents
• Refer a friend — share your referral link from Family & Account to earn subscription discounts when they join
• Fixed: Running Late Tonight could be silently overridden by a background schedule check — the extra time you grant now reliably holds
• Fixed: the parent review (approve/reject) screen now has a clear way back to the main screen
• Family Chores now has an Archived section with one-tap Restore, matching what kids' and your own personal chore lists already had
• Clearer daily progress ring with an at-a-glance total caption

Plus smaller bug fixes and reliability improvements throughout.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-11

Bigger updates in this release:

- Running Late Tonight — one tap unlocks a kid's screen time for the rest of the evening when they physically can't get chores done in time (late practice, a game running long), for the whole family or just one kid, with automatic re-locking once the time you set passes
- Spouse Board — co-parents can now share a task list and reward points with each other, synced across both phones
- More reliable dashboards — fixed an issue where chore counts and the Family Scoreboard could show as zero right after updating
- Smarter Away/Sick handling — pausing chores for a sick or traveling kid now reliably turns their screen time shield off, and back on when they're ready
- Streak accuracy fixes — archiving an old chore no longer erases real streak history
- Faster setup — new starter chore suggestions and an instant AI photo-verification demo right after signup
- "Who's done it" breakdown — see at a glance who's actually been completing each family chore

Plus smaller bug fixes and reliability improvements throughout.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-28

- New: A refreshed kid chore board, with a bigger progress ring, bigger streaks, and a real celebration when every chore's done for the day. Badges now live in their own quick-view instead of crowding the board.
- Redesigned kid cards on the parent dashboard.
- New: ChoreScroll now has a free plan you can use forever: up to 2 kids, 1 chore per kid, 1 shared family chore, and 1 solo chore, no payment method required.
- Chore Library (formerly "Assign for Later") is now easier to find and use for chores with no fixed schedule.
- A few behind-the-scenes reliability fixes.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-20

- Fixed an issue where the Parent Dashboard and Family Scoreboard could show as empty after updating or reinstalling the app.
- Kids' chore history now shows the most recent activity first.
- New: tap into any Family Chore to see who did it last and how many times each family member has completed it.
- A few behind-the-scenes reliability fixes.
