About
PREMIUM — PURCHASE REQUIRED: All features described below are part of Pro and require a purchase: a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Your kid did the chore. Now make it count. ChoreYard is a reward chart: you set up chores worth stars, each child taps a chore done, and the stars they earn buy rewards you define — no cash, no card, no accounts.
Most chore apps are built for adults tracking a household, or they wire kids straight into allowance money. ChoreYard keeps it at the level that actually works for young kids: a visible promise. Feed the dog is worth 8 stars; 25 stars is a movie night. Each child has their own board, their own star balance and their own prize shelf, so siblings compete on effort instead of arguing over one shared list.
WHAT YOU GET
• A board per child — Leo opens the app and sees 3 open chores and 12 stars to spend, before anyone says a word
• Stars that mean something — every chore has a value you set, every reward has a price kids save toward
• Tap done, stars land instantly — with an undo that returns the balance to exactly where it was
• Chores that come back — daily and weekly repeats reopen themselves, and can rotate to the next sibling so nobody is stuck with the bins forever
• A written record — every completed chore is logged with its date, and this week's done, earned and waiting totals sit at the top of the board
• One daily reminder at the hour you pick, so the chart gets ticked instead of forgotten
PERFECT FOR
• Parents replacing the fridge sticker chart that keeps running out of stickers
• Households with two or more kids who each need their own score to end the "that's not fair"
• Kids too young for allowance apps — stars and a movie night beat a bank balance
• Grandparents and co-parents who want one simple deal: do the job, earn the prize
WHY NOT JUST A PAPER CHART?
Paper can't add. ChoreYard's star balance is always computed from the actual record — chores completed minus rewards redeemed — so it can never drift, can't be quietly "adjusted" by a hopeful child, and undo puts back precisely what was there. And this chart can't fall off the fridge.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Everything stays in the app on your iPhone. No account, no sign-up, no cloud, no tracking — your family's chart is nobody's data. Export the whole record as plain text whenever you want it.
