### 4/5 — Need some work

*2026-05-16*

I like the app so far. It definitely encourages my 9yo to use to do her chores. I like that I can add chores and make adjustments, but options are limited for customization on the app. You can also add rewards which is cool. I allowed my kids to make up their own rewards which just led to them wanting to fill more chores.
Down side: my 7yo doesn’t have a phone and uses mine to complete her chores. In this mode she can’t take photos for her chores. I don’t want her to complete chores as me because she has access to all parental things at that point.
-maybe add a lock code for switching profiles.

The app has a bunch of potential. Just not quite perfect yet. Minimal latency between the coils finishing chores in their phone and when the parent gets a notification.
Super user friendly

### 2/5 — Was Working….

*2026-02-21*

Until it wasn’t. All of a sudden, chores that should have been repeating daily have randomly started disappearing for the entire family. No warning, no reason. It’s a shame as we rely so much on apps like these as our entire family suffers from ADHD. I can no longer trust in this app.

**Developer response:** Hi there, really sorry to hear this. That's not how it should work. We'd love to look into what happened. Could you email us at hello@chorly.co with your account email? We'll dig into the logs and fix it for you. We know how important this is, especially for ADHD families who rely on routines.

### 1/5 — Please allow people to use the free version

*2025-10-19*

I had no option but to accept a free trial I didn’t want. What’s the point of using the free trial? I am not going to pay $50 a year for this when I haven’t even used the free version. Please change this and allow for a way to back out of the free trial and use the free version first.

**Developer response:** Unfortunately, for the time being we only provide a free trial as we are a small team and the subscription keeps the lights on.

You can cancel the trial in your phone's subscription settings before the trial ends and won't be charged. Appreciate the feedback.

### 5/5 — Just needs one more thing

*2025-09-01*

The app is great. My kids agent motivated to do chores and get stars. Especially redeeming rewards. The only thing I ask is to add a widget so they can have on their phone and see how many stars they have and what chores needs to be completed. Seeing a widget would keep up the motivation and also be a reminder!

**Developer response:** This made our day! So glad it's working for your kids.

Widget is a great idea and you are not the first one to mention it. It is definitely coming soon. Thanks for taking the time to share this!

### 2/5 — Lacking free version

*2025-08-25, version 1.0.19*

Sure, you have a free trial, but the fact there’s no version of this which has less features but is free is kind of upsetting. Oh also, please lose the custom emoji expressions in the UI, they’re creepy lol

### 5/5 — My kids are finally doing chores

*2025-07-15, version 1.0.19*

I just got this app set up and the kids are loving it. I love the options of rewards and the ease of adding in chores. I have a Cozyla calendar and my kids are able to use this app on the android device while I’m able to update stuff on my iPhone, the cross platform is amazing. I would love to be able to add widgets to my Cozyla calendar (android), one that is a chore chart for one kid and a list that shows each kid would be cool too! Please tell me widgets are coming soon 🙏🏼

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2025-04-12*

We’ve been using Chorly for a couple weeks now and love it! The kids look forward to completing their chores and it has GREATLY reduced my need to nag them. I did submit one suggestion via email, but I think a full list view of chores would be useful so you don’t have to scroll through the calendar. Anyway, I think that one thing would truly make this app perfect!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the love! We’re glad Chorly is making chores smoother for your family. We’ve noted your list-view idea and are exploring it for a future update. Your feedback helps us keep improving—thanks again for sharing!

### 5/5 — Really enjoying, but missing one thing…

*2025-01-19*

So my family has been using Chorly for a few months now and it’s been working great for us: not only does the small one get their work done, but in a household with an Autistic wife and ADHD husband this really helps us assign things out neatly and clearly to each other.

But it comes with the downside of having to always click into the app.

Yes, there are notifications, but it just sort of ominously tells you “a chore” is coming up due, not what chore specifically. That alone would be a nice change, but what would make this the best of the apps I’ve worked with is a single thing: a widget. Just a little widget to sit there on my phone so I can tick things off and they can be more visual.

You guys are 🤏 this close to being perfect. That widget would push it there. :)

**Developer response:** We’re thrilled to hear that Chorly has been helpful for your family and that it’s making a difference in organizing tasks for everyone. Stories like yours truly inspire us to keep improving.

We really appreciate your feedback about the notifications and the suggestion for a widget. You're absolutely right—having more specific notifications and a quick, visual way to manage chores would make things much smoother. We’re excited to share that both of these improvements are on our radar, and your feedback reinforces just how valuable they are to our users.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and ideas. We’re 🤏 this close to making Chorly even better, and it’s thanks to users like you that we’re able to keep moving in the right direction!

### 2/5 — Chorly why did you have to do this

*2025-01-05*

Chorly is really good for parents to believe you when you do your chores but a feature that I don’t like is when you earn a reward your stars reset making you have to start your journey all over again and it’s just so frustrating for rewards that require a lot of stars I mean a LOT, so its better to save your stars when you have like 50,000 or something, it might take an extremely long time, but it’ll be worth it.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! We understand how frustrating it can be to lose your stars after earning a reward. We really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and will definitely consider ways to improve this experience in the future.

Thanks for helping us make Chorly better!

### 2/5 — Deleted user

*2024-12-24*

My child can’t read and is autistic. I wanted an app like this to help him complete his chores, but he deleted his user and now the app doesn’t allow to add home back on. I thought deleting my account I could start over, that doesn’t work either. Otherwise I would give this app 5 stars.

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re really sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had. We understand how important it is for you and your child to use the app smoothly, and we want to help. Please reach out to us, and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

We truly appreciate your feedback and are committed to making Chorly better for families like yours.
