## What is Chorus?

Chorus plays your affirmations back to you in your own voice, at the times you choose, every day.

Most affirmation apps hand you someone else's words, read by someone else's voice. Chorus does the opposite. You record what you want to hear. Chorus handles when you hear it, and how many times.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Record. Say it out loud, present tense, in your own voice.
2. Build a sequence. Add the recordings you want and set how many times each one repeats.
3. Pick a time. Set it to 7:30 and it means 7:30, every day, until you change it.

At the scheduled time a notification arrives. One tap starts the session from the beginning, with your repetition rules applied. Lock the phone or switch apps and the audio keeps playing, which is exactly what an overnight sequence needs.

No app can start audio on a phone that is fully closed. Chorus sends the notification at the exact minute and one tap does the rest. We would rather say that plainly than promise magic.

START FROM A METHOD
Four ready-made routines, each built around a way people have actually practised this:

3-6-9 Method. Three times in the morning, six at midday, nine at night.

21-Day Reprogramming. One sequence a day for twenty-one days, counted for you.

Overnight Programming. Starts at bedtime, loops through the night, stops on its own in the morning. Keep the volume low: this is for familiarity, not for learning something new while asleep.

The Subconscious Window. Two sessions a day, ten minutes after you wake and in the last half hour before you sleep.

Every one builds a real, editable routine. Change the times, the recordings, the repeats. Nothing is fixed.

YOUR RECORDINGS STAY YOURS
Everything you record is stored on your device. No upload, no cloud processing, nobody else listening.

BUILT ON THE RESEARCH
Every claim in the app names the study behind it, so you can go and check the work. Jenkins and Dallenbach on what is held on to across sleep. Sherman and Cohen on self-affirmation and stress. Gollwitzer on implementation intentions. Draganski on how adult brains change around whatever you practise.

What changed, and why

Cut "the one voice your brain already trusts." That's a neuroscience claim with no citation behind it, and positioning.md rules those out. The replacement — "You record what you want to hear. Chorus handles when you hear it, and how many times" — is stronger anyway: it says what the app does instead of asserting something about brains.

Added the automation limit. "No app can start audio on a phone that is fully closed…" — CLAUDE.md requires this anywhere automation is promised, and your draft promised it two lines earlier. Saying it plainly also happens to read as confidence.

Added the overnight caveat. The app itself says "this is for familiarity, not for learning something new while asleep" on that template. Your listing had dropped it — the one place the store copy overshot the product.

Fixed the Subconscious Window line. "The two moments your guard is down" is the in-app tagline, which is fine there, but as a store description it's a vague mood. Now it says what the template actually does: two sessions, ten minutes after waking, last half hour before sleep.

Added Jenkins and Dallenbach to the research list — it's the study that backs your sleep-timing templates, and the

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-28

Add a soft looping track to any sequence, chosen by vibe: Calm, Focus, Uplift, Sleep or Power. Set how loud it sits under your voice. Plus: previewing a recording no longer interrupts a session that's already playing.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-27

• None to call out, which is either excellent news or a sign we haven't looked hard enough. We'll tell you which once we know.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-26

Steadier under the hood — small fixes throughout, and nothing new to learn.

You may also see a one-time prompt asking about tracking. Saying no changes nothing about how Chorus works for you; it only affects whether we can tell which ads brought people here.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-21

No release notes.
