Customer service doesn’t even pick up the phone. Had to call my credit card company for fraudulent charges to get it removed. This and the bite squad app are terrible!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible service *2017-11-12, version 3.0.1* i have ordered from this service a few times and have been generally disappointed by the lack of communication and service received. Orders will typically be at least 30-45 minutes late from when you are informed your delivery time will be. There is zero communication from the company informing you that your order is delayed. i stopped ordering from them for about a month and then gave it a try again. The first time my delivery arrived on time but the following time the order was an hour late. Food has arrived cold to top it off. You have to be the one to contact customer service to get any information about you delivery. Today’s order finally prompted this review. Messages have been left for management without any call back or follow through. I would highly advise against using this service as the lack of professionalism, service, and communication are baffling. Mans really took the name of the company too literal and chowed my food in his cab. Don’t get me wrong, customer service was amazing and refunded me but I was left hungry and down an Italian sub and three cookies so do with this information what you will. ### 1/5 — Never got food *2021-01-02, version 5.8.2* I ordered dinner for guests early in the day and got a 6pm delivery time. Said it was delivered but never received. They said they can refund me my money, so happy they gave me money back for something I never received 🤦🏼‍♀️. Crashes immediately when trying to open the app. ### 1/5 — Customers don’t matter even before a Hurricane *2019-08-31, version 5.4.3* I ordered food through the ChowCab app. They are now considered BiteSquad. My food was expired and smelled like body odor. It smelled so bad that I had to bag it up multiple times and throw it in the garbage. I stated that I ordered out solely to preserve my canned food for Hurricane Dorian, which is approaching. Canned food is scarce due to the severity of this hurricane. Therefore, I cannot afford to consume my canned food when the power goes out. Even after stating this to their customer service, they didn’t even attempt to assist me. This is a highly unethical company that only cares about receiving their customers’ money. I deleted their app and will NEVER use their services again. Even before a hurricane, these money hungry leaches can care less about supporting their customers. I usually get mad about things like this. However, this is just downright pathetic. I wish I would’ve never wasted my money. ### 1/5 — Worst service you’ll ever experience *2019-01-12, version 5.4.3* Every single time I’ve ever ordered with Chow cab/Bite squad the order takes at least double the time that they tell you. We order and are emailed it’s going to be 2 hrs We try to call to cancel - their automated service doesn’t work. No way to cancel through the site No way to cancel through the app Bit bs if you ask me to make it so difficult to cancel when they mess you around - just another way to get money from you but not deliver the right service. We call the restaurant to try and cancel - they tell us they can’t do it as chowcab have to but they understand the problem as it happens a lot as chowcab are rather useless What a useless company and a poor poor way to do business. Will never use again ### 1/5 — No communication, late food, no service. *2018-04-22, version 3.0.9* *Just got off the phone with one of the Chow Cab restaurants... they said they have been having “issues” with chow cab not calling in orders at all; she said the driver just shows up and has to place the order when they get there. This company is not long for this world... There is zero customer service here. When your food is late (and it will be), you are simply left without recourse, hoping your food eventually arrives. The fact that they want you to tip the driver ahead of time is just a joke. That’s straight tacky. Tips need to be earned, in which case I’ll gladly and generously tip. Nothing like tipping first, then getting crap service. The last meal I had from them had to be re heated and it tasted awful the bread was inedible at that point. The wait times listed have always been accurate and the food has always arrived hot. We have ordered from a variety of restaurants and the orders have all been correct. Despite a 2 hour wait time last Friday we still ordered from our local BBQ joint cuz nobody wanted to drive. Food came at time listed and was hot and fresh. Drivers are always friendly. Some restaurants have promotions and waive the $3.99 delivery fee. Will keep using app when wife works late and 2 hangry kids are needing fuel!
