We have been waiting a long time for this ### 1/5 — Overpriced and Late *2023-10-14* They charge you for ordering the food, delivering the food, and some other hidden fees because somehow I order a $25 meal and it comes out to be like $70. This is not a joke. And the wait time to get the food says it’s 50 minutes which is crazy enough as it is but in actuality it takes like 1hr 30mins. Would be a great service if they weren’t just trying to make make money off of service members. Don’t waste your time even trying to order off the app anyways because if you select 2 of the same kind of item the store will only see it as one of the item. Lastly, the app is broken, I mean literally broken. You try to order food in advance and it will tell you the store doesn’t open until 1300. So you put in your order for 1315 and guess what? The store isn’t open at that time, it actually opens at 1315 and the cycle repeats. ### 1/5 — THEY STEAL FROM YOU *2023-09-29, version 6.0.3* I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Customer service doesn’t care. No offer of refund or replacement. I basically just gave ChowCall $50 for nothing and some delivery driver got wingstop for free. ### 1/5 — I’ve used better apps *2023-05-07, version 5.5.3* I’ve used chow call twice since I’ve been on base its nice to be able to get food delivered on base when I don’t have a car or its too cold out side to walk, but i think that it is ridiculous how i get charged an extra $11 on top of my order and my tip that doesn’t make any since at all. Also when you order it takes an hour to get your food delivered to you and there is no way for me cancel my order or there is no way for me to call a real customer service line and it makes no since at all. ### 1/5 — Absolutely not worth it *2023-04-29, version 5.5.3* Tried to order food to dam neck from a restaurant less than three miles away, thinking it would be more convenient than something like DoorDash. It has been hours since I have placed the order with absolutely no updates on my order status and no way to contact anyone. The list of negitaves goes on and on. Ive waited hours for my food to be delivered only for it to be missing an item or just completely the wrong order and, when you try to contact support to try and get reimbursed for the missing items they offer no help. The menus are overpriced and do not have the entire menu. When the order does arrive the driver is almost always at the wrong house and when you go to meet with the driver to pick up to order the driver gives you attitude when you don’t give them a bigger tip when you sign for the food. Its a complete joke! I just ordered food at 2:11 and it’s now 4:50 and have not received my food still ### 1/5 — App broken *2023-03-29, version 5.0.0* I’ve had multiple issues over the last few years from orders taking over 3 hours to arrive to incorrect orders and missing items. Considering that Dominos is the only other service that delivers in my area, it is what it is. You use it if you have to. The app just doesn’t load now. It stays on a loading screen. Besides that i want a refund for how much money the order was. Wait was about an hour and a half which I didn’t mind. However, the order was stated as being picked up and never delivered. I spent $67 on one order and didn’t even get my food. Submitted a complaint through their terrible system and didn’t hear back. I will ensure my boots don’t make a similar mistake. 0/10. ### 2/5 — Late arrivals *2023-02-24, version 5.0.0* We were doing good at first, the orders would come in at a reasonable stretch of time from when I order. I’m starting to trust the app and rely on it when I would like to order, but then one day that turned into many, the orders started coming an hour later to about two hours later with no update. It gives no variety of choices it’s the same food places. I’m furious with this app, needs some more reliable people to take orders I’m always seeing the same people. Getting my food cold is unacceptable I didn’t pay for that. Hopefully the owners can fix this. ### 3/5 — Could be better *2023-02-21* I love how this app allows me to get food deliverers to me on base and I have not had the problem of the delivery driver not able to get to me at all, but the most of the time the wait is way to long, the app will tell me the food will arrive in about an hour which long in itself but an hour has past by and it’s still saying the restaurant is preparing my order with very little updates I have no idea when my food is getting here, it is also annoying that there is not as many options on the menus as there usually is, other than the wait time and lack of updates this is a decent app that has helped me get my food on base and right to me without me having to meet up at the gate. Edit: I am just now having the problem of my delivery driver seemingly going the wrong direction and staying at another barracks, I can’t tell if there is a glitch in the system, if the tracking is off, or if the delivery driver has the wrong directions but it’s very sketchy, and it has now been an hour and a half since I ordered with what I’m only guessing another half an hour it’s going to take for my food to get here since the driver drove in the wrong direction. **Developer response:** Hi there. I wanted to get my boyfriend some food while he’s on base because if I had to hear about him eating pizza and Chinese food one more time I was gonna lose it. So I downloaded this app thinking I was doing something nice. Tell me why I ordered Zaxby’s at 1:20 PM and it was supposed to be delivered by 2:20 PM. 2:20 came. Then 3:20. Then 4:20. Nothing. The app never updated not ONE time. It just sat there saying “processing order” while nobody could tell me where my food, my money, or my sanity went. I called customer service and talked to someone named Angel. Bless her heart, but she was no help whatsoever. She basically told me another department had to handle it because nobody knew where my order was. Not if it was made, picked up, delivered, or floating around in the atmosphere somewhere. I called back twice and still got nowhere. Nobody from this mysterious department ever contacted me either. So I called Zaxby’s myself and y’all… the order was NEVER EVEN PUT IN THEIR SYSTEM. Three whole hours later, ChowCall finally emails me saying “there were no drivers available.” Why am I just now finding this out? Why did we all have to go on a scavenger hunt to discover my order never existed? Save your money and save your blood pressure. This app is expensive, customer service is useless, and apparently your food may never even make it to the restaurant. ### 1/5 — Worst Customer Service *2026-04-18* The app doesn’t have any support for cancellation of orders like other apps. It take hours to get food delivered with overpriced delivery fee. No way of communicating with the driver, unless they reach you out. I don’t blame the driver because they are in low of manpower. I know they are bunch of military service members trying to order food at the same time. Your food sits out for over an hour and there’s no tracking updates, no way of cancelling orders, or way of contacting the person delivering food for you. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-10-30* It's a waste. I waited 2 hours for an order, was told I'd get credit for the same amount on my next order. When attempting to order again it wouldn't process my order at all and showed an error message with their phone number, prompting me to call to process the order. No effort has been put into the development of this company or the app. It should not exist.
