My order is still not here 2.5 hours later despite reaching out to the “customer service” people. Not sure what’s wrong with this app but I would stick to genuinely any other ordering platform. ### 1/5 — Do not be fooled by this site! *2026-07-16, version 1.73.0* Horribly misleading!!! Went to order from a favorite restaurant which I hadn’t been to in forever. The first thing that popped up in the search was this site with the restaurant name, picture, & menu all over it, leading me to believe I was ordering from the restaurant. I placed my order, then drive 15 minutes to pick it up. Turns out, this site just had item after item listed that went on forever, so rather than ordering the lunch special I had hoped, I had to scroll forever to find my selection, which turned out not to be my selection at all. In fact, it cost more, & only had half the food items I thought I was getting, or that which I would’ve received had I called the restaurant directly. And for this “ privilege,” they charged me a SERVICE CHARGE! Do NOT be fooled by them! Do NOT use them!!! ### 1/5 — Don’t use *2026-07-06, version 1.73.0* They charged me twice then said I had to contact the restaurant for a refund, yet I used their pay services to order food. I contacted restaurant and they also said there’s nothing they can do since I used a “3rd party site”. First time using this app too, save yourself the headache ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE-DONT WASTE YOUR TIME *2026-07-05, version 1.73.0* Horrible app and I wish I could give it a zero! The app has only worked once for me and after that, no matter what restaurant or card I use, it will not process the payments. I have used major credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards! Nothing works and the only advice they give is to order over the phone. Unfortunately you can’t order delivery over the phone if the restaurant don’t deliver themselves. ### 1/5 — The worst food ordering app *2026-06-28, version 1.73.0* Takes food literally 2 hours to get to you. Couldn’t even cancel the order. The restaurant ordered from called asking me when I would pick up my food right before they were about to close. I explained to them I ordered it for delivery and it was suppose to arrive a while ago. They said they would sent out my food but by the time it got here it the find was cold and stale. Contacted customer support for a refund but all they offered was a $15 credit for my next order with them. I declined and let them know to keep it as I wouldn’t be using the service again. Customer service was very fast but not worth paying a delivery that takes 3-4 times as long as they advertise when you order. ### 1/5 — No Support *2026-06-22, version 1.73.0* I was charged a delivery fee and my food was not delivered. And they are rejecting account deletion requests if you’ve don’t reside in a couple of pre-selected states. ### 1/5 — Order delivery and non existent customer service *2026-06-20, version 1.73.0* We placed a dinner order for delivery. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive. Customer service was useless. They lie about delivery time and “preparation window.” They gaslight you saying you are wrong when they literally can’t even show me any sort of proof on their end. No thanks! ### 1/5 — ChowNow is a Scam *2026-06-05, version 1.73.0* First time ever writing a review. I ordered food from a restaurant that has take out orders handled by ChowNow. I placed an order and it was never delivered. The ChowNow app said the driver cancelled the order, but provided no reason why. The restaurant said the order was picked up, but it was never delivered. Worst of all, when I contacted customer service for ChowNow they refused to issue a refund and instead offered a $25 credit on a $160 order. Complete scam. I’d avoid this service at all costs. ### 1/5 — Theft *2026-06-03, version 1.73.0* Be carful ordering from here. They took my money and never delivered the food. So be very, very careful! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2026-06-02, version 1.73.0* Used this for one restaurant that I loved that wasn’t on doordash, spent a good amount of money for me and work, for the order to be about 2 hours later and the order disappearing from my app. Then I was told by support to request a refund May 23rd, never received refund and was told after contacting about not receiving the refund that was only getting back $5 out of my full order due to a “refund policy” that they apparently won’t tell you about when they suggest a refund and tell you to proceed with it 🤣 I’ll stick to doordash ### 1/5 — Poorly Designed App, high fee *2026-05-26, version 1.73.0* App contains multiple bugs that no one seems to care about. The payment system is horrible and does not work most of the time if you choose Apple Pay. Strangely, the app stores the same delivery address multiple times in settings. Then, of course, there’s the app fee which is too high for what this app does. Fortunately, I can order directly from the restaurants this app is affiliated with (the ultimate in “saving the restaurant money”). ### 1/5 — No refund on wrong deliveries… *2026-05-21, version 1.73.0* Ordered through this app several times before with no problems, but tonight the delivery driver got my address wrong, despite nochanges to my address. If I’m placing a pickup order I may as well just call the restaurant and then pay when i pick it up. Yeah, not a fan of Uber or DoorDash but this is NOT a better alternative. DC burbs, may be better in other markets but I can’t see how it would matter. ### 1/5 — Just terrible *2026-08-27, version 1.73.0* Twice now I’ve ordered and had an issue. Do not use them. Them offer a 15% refund on a $70 order and there is nothing more you can do. Door dash is the way to go ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service and absolute lack of effort. *2026-08-21, version 1.73.0* Immediately after placing a delivery order, I contacted support to add a single item. I was told no. Trying to find a workaround, I placed a separate pickup order for the missing item and left explicit, clear instructions in the notes to bundle it with my existing delivery order number.Not only did they completely ignore the note and leave the item behind, but when I contacted support to resolve the issue, they completely stonewalled me. Instead of trying to fix their mistake or offer a solution, they just hid behind a rigid policy, repeating that "changes can't be made to orders." It felt like talking to a brick wall. They showed zero willingness to help a customer, and I am stuck paying for an item I never received. ### 1/5 — Order cancelled *2026-08-14, version 1.73.0* Order cancelled without notification food was not delivered after 3+ hours long wait time ### 1/5 — Useless app *2026-08-11, version 1.73.0* I ordered using this, needed a refund. The restaurant said to do it the app, the app said talk to the restaurant. Re-ordering would’ve taken an hour. They offered a refund, but I tipped 25% and wanted to adjust the tip. They would not do it. When you order an entree that comes with a side, you should be able to…order a side. Delivery was supposed to be for 2:37, and I didn’t have my phone on me to get the updated delivery time text. Delivery driver didn’t knock when the food arrived and left the food on ground 1/2 hour earlier that what was first given. The food was swarming with ants and chow now would not give a refund for a $65 order that was now wasted. ### 1/5 — Why does this app even exist. *2026-07-26, version 1.73.0* This app was extremely frustrating to use. In my experience, it repeatedly displayed payment errors. After I resolved the issue, everything that had been in my cart disappeared, and none of my selections were saved. When I tried to submit my payment again, the app told me that I had already placed an order a minute earlier. After waiting as instructed, I tried again, only to receive a "payment declined" message, even though I had entered my information correctly and my card had more than enough available funds. I repeated the process several times with the same result. Because of this experience, I decided to go to the restaurant in person and let them know what happened. I believe issues like this could cause businesses to lose customers.
