ChowScan is a pet food ingredient scanner for dog and cat owners, drawing on a database of over 29,000 dog and cat food products. Point your camera at any bag, scan the barcode or photograph the ingredient panel, and see a clear 0-100 score with the flagged ingredients, the beneficial ones, and a cited source behind every flag. No chemistry degree required. No account, no sign-up.

WHAT THE SCORE TELLS YOU
Every top ingredient is graded against a curated, in-app dictionary. Named proteins, whole foods, and helpful additives lift the score. Artificial preservatives, dyes, added sugar, and unnamed meat sources pull it down. Each flag links to a public source, so you can decide for yourself.
