Cooking for a household is mostly logistics. What's for dinner, who's making it, and do we actually have the garlic or just think we do. Chowy keeps the answers in one shared place that everyone at home can see. Found a recipe you want to try? Paste the link. Chowy pulls the full ingredients and steps out of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or pretty much any recipe site, so you're not scrubbing through a video with floury hands. No inspiration today? Pick a meal type, a cuisine, a diet, and how much time you've got, and Chowy writes you a recipe (cover photo included). Then there's the part nobody enjoys: the groceries. Photograph the receipt on your way out of the shop and Chowy reads it, then drops everything straight into your pantry or shopping list. Scan barcodes one at a time or rattle through a whole bag of them. The pantry is shared, so the entire household sees what's in it, with expiry tags that nudge you to use the spinach before it turns. The shopping list updates live as people add to it, and when you tick something off, it lands back in the pantry on its own. Tapped the wrong thing? You've got five seconds to undo it. The cooking side keeps up too: Save recipes into your own cookbook and find new ones by swiping through them. Rate the keepers. Translate any recipe into your language. Plan the week by assigning meals to days and rotating who's on dinner duty, so it isn't quietly always the same person. When it's time to actually cook, Cook Mode walks you through step by step and keeps the screen from going dark mid-stir. Can't agree on dinner?
