## What is Christ Reformed Connect?

Christ Reformed Connect is the official app for members of Christ Reformed Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

A private, members-only space to stay connected with your church family between Sundays. New accounts require approval from a church administrator.

Features:
• Announcements — see church news as it's posted, never miss an important update
• Sermons — listen to the latest sermons from CRC, with background audio playback
  so you can keep listening while using other apps
• Live worship — stream Sunday services live when broadcasting
• Calendar — see upcoming services, events, and gatherings
• Prayer board — share prayer requests with the congregation; respond to others'
  requests
• Meal trains — sign up to bring meals to families in need (new parents,
  illness, etc.)
• Fellowship meals — coordinate potlucks and shared meals
• Cleaning schedule — see when you're up for building cleaning duty
• Directory — find contact info for fellow members (members only)
• Resources — quick access to church documents, links, and forms
• Push notifications — get notified about announcements, prayer requests,
  upcoming events, and your scheduled cleaning/meal commitments
• Dark mode — choose light, dark, or sync with your device

### 1.0.29 — 2026-09-03

• Event times are now set with an AM/PM time picker instead of typing a 24-hour time.
• The Calendar now updates right away after you add, edit or delete an event — no more waiting or seeing an event that was already removed.
• You can now edit an event directly from the Calendar tab, not just from the Events screen.
• You can now edit your own prayer request — fix a typo or reword it without deleting and reposting. Responses you have already received are kept.
• Fixed screens that had no back arrow, including member profiles opened from the Directory. On iPhone there is no hardware back button, so these were a dead end.
• Android: the on-screen navigation bar no longer sits on top of buttons at the bottom of the screen. This affected the "+" button on most screens, and the last item in long lists.
• Behind the scenes: fixes to event creation and additional security hardening.

### 1.0.28 — 2026-08-25

• Fixed: answers containing an apostrophe, like "God's", could be marked incorrect when typed on a phone keyboard. Short answers were affected most, so a correct answer could come back wrong.
• Improved: the word bank now mixes words properly. Previously they tended to stay near their correct order, which made the exercise easier than it was meant to be.
• Fixed: events created from the Calendar tab now show their type, matching events created from the Events screen.
• Behind the scenes: updated the app's core components and added automated tests around catechism and Scripture practice.

### 1.0.27 — 2026-08-13

This update is behind-the-scenes maintenance. We refreshed the app's core components and moved our server functions to a newer, supported platform version, which keeps CRC Connect secure and reliable. There are no changes to the features you use day to day.

• New: Catechism — family catechism AND Scripture memorization with spaced-repetition practice, per-child profiles, kid-friendly modes, and a PIN-protected parent area
• New: Directory "Families" tab — see each family together with their photo, parents, and children, and tap any name to open that person's profile
• Catechism and Scripture progress now syncs across your own devices
• Fixes and performance improvements

### 1.0.24 — 2026-07-09

• Attendance: admins can now mark members Present, Tardy, or Absent
• New "Staff" role: admins can give volunteers content-management access without member-management powers
