I got all 3 stages cos I wanted to do the whole course. Each stage builds on the work covered in previous stages. The exercises are separated up into different tabs so you can do them when suits you and can navigate easily between them. It also means you can do the stages at your own pace! I really liked that Christella presents the app herself. It’s important for me to know why I’m doing each technique so I really liked that she gives brief explanations at the beginning of each stage and before each exercise. I found the voice feminisation tracker really useful too, as it kept me motivated to keep going with the course. Content-wise, the exercises used lots of words and phrases you would say in everyday life so it felt realistic. My experience: It hands-down made a difference to my voice, including an increase in pitch! :) I do think you’ve got to put the effort in though (they recommend 10 mins a day). An added bonus was that my voice also sounds less croaky, which was an unexpected plus point!! If you can’t / dont want to access voice therapy face to face for whatever reason, or you’re looking to supplement your face to face therapy – I’d definitely recommend it! **Developer response:** Thanks for the great feedback! ### 5/5 — Great practice tool *2017-02-16* Clear and well paced exercises. The bonus of being able to track your progress, as well as seeing and hearing the exercises is a great help. Excellent motivator. With the addition of stage 3 the progression is continued, but ups the difficulty, so there's is many exercises to satisfy all levels. It is also highlights how one the leading speech and voice consultants works in an incremental and clear way. At any stage you can assess your voice with the assessment tool in the app. It shows you the average frequency and also breaks it down into a pie chart which shows the amount your voice is in the male, neutral, and female range. It keeps historical assessments so you can track your progress over time. I've found this enormously helpful!!! ### 5/5 — Easy and effective *2016-11-01* I'm using this app as a speech pathologist with my transgender clients. The techniques are extremely effective, easy to do, and my client's voice is becoming more feminine. There is NO instructions on how to modify your voice. The app has you read sentences and tells you what percentage male va female your voice is. It does NOT instruct you in any way on HOW to change your voice. There is no demo to see what it offers. You pay $19.99 and get absolutely nothing. **Developer response:** Hi, sorry to hear you think that but the app does deliver Christella's proven therapy and guidance on how to feminise your voice. It also allows you to record, analyse and monitor your voice journey - provided for free. Each of the 3 stages has a free sample to show you what is contained. ### 1/5 — It sucks *2020-11-20, version 3.3* Barely anything in the app and it’s horribly organized , I even tried with a male voice and it said 100% feminine really bad app either fix it or scrap it 🤦‍♀️ ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2020-07-28* I bought the first lesson and literally it’s was the worse twenty dollar the I have spend in my life ### 1/5 — Not free *2016-11-09* You have to pay £25 just to use Stage 1. **Developer response:** I'm sorry that wasn't made clear enough that the app contains a sample of exercises and pitch analysis but the full lessons require purchasing. We've made that clearer now and also reduced the price to £15 with a £10 spring sale in April. ### 2/5 — Too much repetition, not enough instruction *2024-05-22* I grant I’m likely a difficult student, having tried about half a dozen online and in person voice therapists with absolutely no progress, but this was another strikeout. For, say, intonation or vowel lengthening, even in the first lesson, the instructor just has you repeat what she’s saying with no real guidance as to how one varies intonation or lengthens vowels. I can’t remember if any transcripts are available for each part. The teaching takes a gradual progression to improve voice change. Practice is essential. Thank you Christella. I have received an update which says they will see if this could be done in the next update. Having gone to speech therapy as a child, this is much more like the type of practice that has helped me before. I still supplement this with other trustworthy resources I’ve found elsewhere, but this is the best, most affordable, most helpful, and most available option for getting a speech therapy experience short of actually seeing a therapist for appointments. I also like how it gives you a place to store your progress recordings. I had previously just emailed myself clips and stored them in email, but this allows me to scroll through and see/hear my different outcomes and progress over time which is super helpful! Simple and informative *2020-07-20* This is a fabulous app, a great deal of thought has gone into the 3 courses. Very easy to use, the practises are done in a way to develop your voice at your convenience. There a sub sections to practise with, common and useful life situations in speech has been helpful to me. Social life, work and office, telephone, appointments. It’s done wonders for me, though I have been dedicated to it using it religiously everyday and has provided me with an increased level of confidence with my voice. I had a one to one session with christella via Zoom, she was so great with that also. I truly believe this app is the go to for developing a female voice. The improved app is more intuitive in use and I’m finding the explanations and examples are really working. I just have to try and apply the same principles when speaking Italian. ### 5/5 — Issue Fixed *2018-09-15* After they fixed the issue I had with Bluetooth devices, I no longer have any concerns with this app. It has helped me develop my voice much more than doing it on my own.
