Love it so far, I bought the lifetime purchase, and it's great except for one issue I am having so far which is the text boldening and font sizing. Its very finicky and very commonly doesnt bolden/change the font size of the text Im actually trying to change. Instead it changes other text thats not even highlighted and I just end up getting confused and dont know how to change it back. Please fix this bug soon because it can be annoying to deal with... It has many elements including an option to attach scripture to your entries. Easy to use, no ads (only promo to buy premium but like it’s one click to exit), bright + inviting.. etc! I totally would recommend it. Never crashes and helps me feel more connected to God! Try it out, I’m sure you won’t regret it! Plus I love that if I wanted too I could export entries into a pdf! This app compliments the Bible study app I use perfectly! I definitely appreciate the life time payment option and only compliant is that I can change text sizes when I write or select just certain sections of text, I have to copy whole thing. I have had 3 full things of notes go away and then I have to go look over them again. Honestly it’s time consuming and makes taking notes on the word more of a chore. An autosave feature/auto backup would be so much more helpful. Even just clicking off the notes deletes them so I can’t open the Bible app. ### 1/5 — Higher Hopes *2023-11-28, version 1.0.9* I thought I had found the perfect tool to journal, and I do believe the concept is there… but I have not had the opportunity to complete an entire entry before the app freezes and then closes. It does not give and option to cancel in iOS. I HAD been thinking about getting the one year plan but have now changed my mind due to this issue. ### 2/5 — Glorified notepad with glitchy formatting *2025-02-12, version 1.0.13* PLUS - There’s scope to set up different types of journals which is good, one for prayer, one for devotionals, one for words from God etc. You can colour coordinate these. MINUS - it doesn’t sync between devices, you have to upload a back up to the cloud in google mail and then download your latest back up to the other device in order to continue where you left off. Frustrating if you have a phone/tablet system and use both MINUS - The formatting options were clunky and glitchy. More than once a section I had highlighted as a bold title would ‘move’ the bold highlight to a different portion of the text. Same with underscores & sizing of font. It then became impossible to undo. There is incidentally also a lack of undo or go back button. MINUS - you can add in a photo but only to the END of whatever part of text you are writing, you can’t go back and insert one midway though your journal entry. The photos don’t hold when you download a back up copy to another device. To fully use this you need to pay the £12.99 (2025 uk price) - good that it’s a one off cost rather than a subscription, however the more I used the app the less I liked it. I have now followed the masses in the use of “Day one” app instead & paid the subscription but it doesn’t a far better job than this app. ### 2/5 — Good Idea Needs fixing for bugs *2025-01-01, version 1.0.13* Can't upgrade shuts down needs more features Bible versions etc. Good base idea but limited offerings ### 2/5 — Deleted everything I journaled *2024-07-18, version 1.0.13* I did journals of my Bible reflections and it deleted everything except for the mood I put that day and idk how I was supposed to know that would happen ### 3/5 — So far, doing well *2026-06-07, version 1.0.14* I have only just started using this app. This is the only reason I gave it 3 stars. It seems to be a basic app with simple/easy use. I guess the only suggestion I have for now is possibly the option to lock the journal with a numeric or patterned code. But so far it’s doing well. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t Save On It’s Own *2025-05-09, version 1.0.14* I was really enjoying this app as it is very user friendly, I can change font to what ever I want, and all my prayers and notes are in one place and you can also search through notes by searching key words! I love all those features BUT the one thing that is incredibly disappointing is, you HAVE to hit the save button 😭 if you don’t, your whole journal entry is GONE! I didn’t realize that right away and I have so many days that just got erased only because I didn’t hit save! I am so accustomed to the notes feature on iPhone that I assumed everything would be saved. The only ones that have been saved are the ones where I accidentally hit the “save” button wondering what it does. 🙃 I honestly do not know if I can train my brain to remember to click that button when I’m done. Anyways, I’d love an update that made it to where we don’t HAVE to click that! ### 3/5 — Could be better *2025-03-05, version 1.0.14* I love the concept of this app. I love the journal prompts. I feel like the app could be more user friendly, and there are some technical glitches. Example; whenever I complete a journal entry and hit save, the title and mood I’ve chosen for that entry disappear.
