For example, if I take a break from listening to a book, I have to record my position before stopping so that I can pickup where I stopped. When I try to resume listening, the app starts me at the begin of the chapter I was in. ### 1/5 — Can not even setup an account *2025-07-10, version 1.4.6* Downloaded the app and it took me straight to login. I did not get to setup an account. What good is the app? ### 1/5 — Doesn’t function at all anymore. *2025-06-27, version 1.4.6* This app used to work great. Then it got an update and now it’s impossible to download any content (yes, I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps). I can still stream some of my books, but others give an error message that „this book doesn’t contain any chapters.“ You can manually download your books from the website, so that’s my current workaround. Don’t bother with the app though. ### 3/5 — Enjoy the app, but…. *2025-05-18, version 1.4.6* After the most recent update, I can no longer access on one of my books, “Morning and Evening” by Charles Spurgeon. It tells me there are no chapters. Somewhat accurate, but…there are two readings for each day. ### 2/5 — Shockingly bad *2025-04-28, version 1.4.6* For a company that literally has one job—helping people listen to audiobooks—their app is pretty bad. And how has it literally gotten worse over the last decade? I’m shocked at how I can no longer make a bookmark or even figure out which books I’ve already downloaded. If I've listened to a book for 45 minutes and stop it, when I come back the next day, it has lost my place and I have to spend time trying to find how far I had gotten. This is the most basic requirement for this type of app, so not having this makes the app essentially useless. Couldn't find an easy spot for support. Also often the app would need to be closed and reset to stream the next chapter. I had to call customer service to get my audio library to load. Now that my library has loaded, it will allow me to stream my books but not download them to my phone. ### 2/5 — Very disappointed *2024-08-26, version 1.4.5* I am very disappointed with the “new” app. For over 8 months I have been trying to listen to several of my purchases, but I get a message that says “No chapters found”. When I try to download them with app, nothing happens. I have contacted customer service many times and l’m always told that it is being worked on, but they don’t now when it will be fixed. They have even told me to follow the “Help Section”. On there website, but the direction are for the old version (which by the way worked great). I tried to send this with (1) star but it wouldn’t let me. ### 2/5 — Won’t let me download or stream audio Bibles anymore *2024-07-05, version 1.4.5* It used to be an OK but not great app, but since I’ve bought several translations of Bible audiobooks over the years I used to listen to them a lot through this app until a year ago or so when an update to the app ruined that. It used to be possible to only download certain Bible books in the app (instead of the whole large file) but then would give me a message saying “No chapters found”. I keep coming back every once in a while to this app to see if any updates have fixed this but unfortunately the app is still giving that error. I can’t understand why an audiobook company based on Christian books and the Bible would overlook such an important feature in their app. ### 1/5 — App interface *2024-06-25, version 1.4.5* First of all, no one will ever respond to any correspondence. Secondly, the app interface is terrible. You cannot view any book information in your library and the audio is very muffled. There is also no way to skip a chapter. also, the book will not play continuously if it is a downloaded title. Old app was upgraded and new app not play audio. Submitted request and months later no response. Happened before too- even with registered email updated -they did not respond until previous email used. I essentially paid for the books but can’t listen to them. I contacted customer support multiple times and all they can say is we are aware that we have an issue with our app, we are rewriting it BUT not sure when it will be ready - sorry! Update: app no longer works. Praying for you all. Looking forward to using it again. —- As valuable as this app has been in the past, I’m very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of technical help. The book that I’ve used the most says there are “no chapters” and deleting the app and reloading doesn’t help. There is no available help. Waste of time to submit a help ticket. I would even buy it again if I thought it would help. The upgrade a few months ago just killed the app’s usefulness for me. I have spent thousands on audiobooks, and I now cannot access my account at all. I am effectively locked out of a large paid library with no clear way to fix it. This is a serious failure of service. At the moment, this app is blocking access and creating unnecessary stress. Then they “improved” it to stream. Now it won’t stream or download any of my books. The help section and FAQs on the site appears to be completely outdated. My recommendation is to not use this app until they fix it and leave it working for at least a year. Too sad. It seems like this company is happy to collect any money that still comes in from purchases but not faithful enough to invest that money at all in fulfilling the requirements implied by offering those purchases (ie, making a usable product). I’ve bought lots of books and I’ve got lots of book of the month purchases as well. I’ve never had a problem with them and I like the fact that I can move the book around to any listening device that I own the recordings come in the MP3 format, and I realize that provides an opportunity for copyright infringement if I’m not honest about it, but it makes it much easier for me to move it between a phone or an MP3 player or a computer, etc. I think at this point I’m on my honor and I have to do what’s right even if nobody catches me. That’s not a bad place to be. We all do what’s right, even if nobody catches us. Back to the service, everything’s worked wonderfully I’ve never had any problems that I couldn’t resolve, and I don’t even remember ever having any trouble at all. ### 5/5 — Safely Home *2023-08-01, version 1.4.2* I read the book myself years ago and it.
