## What is Christmas & Advent?

These tiny paintings of Christmas motifs where originally created by the German painter Frank Walka as illustrations for a collection of Christmas Carols published by Carus/Reclam. 

"Painted in oil, substructures and drawings in the paint where made with an etching needle.
