If you tapped on the grey ball it did tell you what the inventory item was. Also the map has started getting glitchy, again, intermittently. This is spoiling an otherwise good game. We'll look into it! ### 4/5 — Nice Game *2022-12-05, version 1.0.10* I have bought most if the Christmas Story games and although I enjoyed this one, there were a few scenes where the background kept blacking out and it was difficult to play them. I have an iPad Pro so it wasn’t anything to do with my device. The backgrounds tended to reappear every so often but it’s a shame it spoilt gameplay a little. ### 2/5 — Mini-Games very buggy! *2022-10-25* It’s a fun, no-brainer sort of game cute graphics and music, but probably a lot more challenging for kids. I DL’d the trial, but first two mini-games I had to “skip” because they did not respond to the actions as they were supposed to do. Therefore I will not be paying for the full game. You can pick items up they don’t appear, etc etc. I’ve restarted it so many times but it isn’t playable. Only gripe being some mini puzzles didn’t work properly. If there is going to be the added opportunity of playing secret rooms/games then please at least have it so that the item being searched for is bright enough to see. The items were too light and half the time couldn’t be seen, a case of just tapping away and eventually something happens. Youngsters got rather unhappy at this stage. Shame these games are very expensive. The mouse is in the way and the map shows that there is a collectible item there. This is mildly infuriating to me so if you could fix it I would appreciate it. **Developer response:** Hi! I guess I’ll see...I just asked what the phrase “walk down” meant in the strategy guide meant....I’m not slow, but there are many definitions that can be attached to this phrase....I hope they answer......I love these games, but customer service leaves a bit to be desired...If I get an answer..I’ll apologize... *******Dispute the not answering my inquiry, I will give this compliment...I just finished this game and I found this game charming; you MUST tap all objects on each site. I go back and play these Christmas games every year as I should be able to do since I bought it. Now they don’t work. The screen blacks out and when you restart, it just blacks out again. Then it came to the “Unlock full version” screen and said $4.99. For example, I’m currently playing the third chapter (Greta/Hansel’s story), and the screens keep glitching! Update: this game is not getting better. I’m on CH 3, where I’m supposed to “Enter Elven Village”per the Guide…but where is Elven Village? I found this game on the Elephant site for £1.99 and others. Do not be fooled by the wonderful bright graphics and maybe a bit childish looking because it has lots of fiendishly difficult puzzles, I even resorted to the strategy guide in the bonus, which I never do, making the tiles was soo difficult. You really need the helpful map though or you could take ages wandering around, both the main game and the bonus were a really good length which we all need at the moment to pass the time.
