## What is Chroma Guess?

Chroma Guess is a quick, brain-teasing game about how well you actually see color.

You get a few seconds to study a random color. Then it disappears, and you recreate it using three sliders: hue, saturation, and lightness. The closer your guess, the higher your score.

That's the whole game. But picking the right shade once it's gone is a lot harder than it sounds.

Or play head-to-head: pair with a nearby friend over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and run through the same colors, round by round. Compare scores at the end and find out who actually sees what.

Two ways to play
• Classic — match the color you observed
• Opposite — land the exact opposite of the color you saw (Pro Unlock)

Features
• Pure HSL sliders, no presets, no cheating
• Local multiplayer for two, pair up nearby and race the same colors
• Adjustable difficulty and observe time
• Score breakdown showing accuracy, difficulty, observe, and speed
• Scales with your system text size, right up to the largest accessibility settings
• Haptic feedback you can toggle off
• Clean, type-forward design with a custom color-meter aesthetic
• Works offline. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

Great for quick breaks, color-curious creatives, and anyone who's ever argued about whether something is teal or cyan.

### 5/5 — Addictive for artists

*2026-04-22*

This game is very creative and fun. I found myself sending it to my most artist friends to see who has the better eye. We have all been going back and forth competing. I was excited to see that I had a hard mode where you can a in near blacks and near whites as well as shorten your memorizing time. I’ve been playing it all day.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-21

• New mode: Opposite. Instead of matching the color you memorized, land its exact inverse. Pure HSL math, same rules, twice as twisty.
• Local multiplayer is more resilient: if you wander out of range mid-round, the match reconnects on its own instead of dying.
• A bunch of font, layout, and stability fixes under the hood.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-05-07

• Multiplayer! Pair up with a nearby friend over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and play through the same colors, round by round. Compare scores at the end.
• New main menu, pick solo or multiplayer with one tap.
• Score breakdown on the result screen: see how accuracy, difficulty, memorize time, and speed each shape your total, with an "of [max] possible" caption so you know how high the round could've gone.
• Refined frosted-glass look throughout, calmer chrome, more focus on the color.
• Bigger, more readable default text, with a sensible floor that lets accessibility settings stretch up from there without compounding.
• Lots of small layout, animation, and haptic-timing fixes.

### 1.0 — 2026-04-22
