### 4/5 — First app I’ve bought in years

*2026-10-31*

The good:
- Processing and idea is great
- S curve contrast is great
- decent price for curated look

Improvements:
- More polish needed. Camera stays open while editing so phone heats up a lot
- importing raws takes a while for library to load
- would like to be able to copy and paste edits across other photos
- other sliders like sharpness, detail would be nice
- would like a 3D level in the camera

This app can go really far if updated properly over time. I’m already using it for most of my iPhone photos now. Well done!

### 4/5 — Really cool editing app, however…

*2026-10-31*

Really cool editing app! However, the max shooting resolution is 4032*3024. The max resolution on lots of other camera apps (ProCam, Halide, even the vanilla camera app) is 8064*6048. Recently, ProCam came out with an update that allows full resolution capture without any of Apple’s processing. That would be a nice feature to have in this app as well! It’s still my go-to app for providing a filmic look to my photos on the go.

### 4/5 — Good, but having a bug issue

*2026-10-30*

Loving the app so far. However, I am having an issue. At the editing screen, when I start moving sliders the image will jump to right and be about 30% off-screen. Not a deal-breaker, but makes tweaking my images a bit of a hassle. Please fix!

### 3/5 — Div Mängel, aber Potential

*2026-10-30*

Bitte umgehend korrigieren! Die Idee dahinter mit Yedlins Color Science hat Potential!

### 5/5 — Great work, needs some slight UI fixes

*2026-10-30*

From a photography standpoint I have zero complaints. The app is excellent in that regard. The UI however does leave a decent bit to be desired. When editing the image, the view of the picture often glitches and I can’t see parts of the picture. The buttons to navigate between different screens/views are cumbersome at times and hard to use. A couple streamlining fixes from a UI/UX perspective would be very appreciated! Overall great experience with the app though!

### 5/5 — Worth every penny

*2026-10-30*

Honestly I thought it was kind of hype and even though I love Yedlin and Rian I didn’t think the app could be that great. I was 1000% so wrong and I’m thrilled that was wrong. It’s the best photography app since the original Instagram. 10/10 must buy

### 5/5 — Spiderman filter

*2026-10-30*

This make literally every single shot taken looking like scene from spiderman movie, it’s soooo gooood

### 5/5 — Does what it promised.

*2026-10-30*

if you want the look that modern teal film look which this app is centered around then yeah, it does what it advertised itself as. It also has the option to import your previous RAW photos to apply the color pipeline on, although a feature for shooting RAW photos and then applying the grading as u seem fit instead of just the standard prebuilt colors would be much nicer, because you have to depend on other apps for that functionality.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2026-10-30*

Renders more natural looking details, allows for greater depth of visual editing while also being quite simplified, makes for some seriously impressive snaps! My only feature request would be to be able to save a couple different grading presets rather than just overwriting the default, not all grades work for all situations and being able to have a few user-made presets would increase the apps utility. The default preset looks especially amazing in bright natural light, but looks pretty ugly in dim artificial lighting and makes human subjects in that setting look quite ghoulish!

### 5/5 — Great out of the box

*2026-10-30*

It’s a fun app and has lots of great features from what I’ve played around with. My only request is a grid overlay that is possible like in the stock camera app

### 4/5 — Good app with hiccups

*2026-10-30*

I enjoy it so far but I’m unsure about the choices on some of the settings. When I check a photo it automatically will go back to the back camera, even if I’m using the front camera, so I have to change it every single time. Another thing that could be integrated is the fact that the timer resets to 0 after every shot, meaning you have to open the timer to set it, take the photo, go back to the timer settings and add it again, take the photo, rinse and repeat. Keeping the timer set until closing the app or manually changing it back to 0 would be a nice add.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t let me use the rear lens

*2026-10-30*

This only use the front lens. What a scam app

### 1/5 — Crashes on iPad constantly

*2026-10-30*

iPad doesn’t work for importing from library

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear you are having issues. The newest version released to day has a fix that may address your particular issue.

### 2/5 — Decent Filter, Terrible App

*2026-10-30*

I genuinely don’t understand all the praise this app has received. The actual filter is decent (there only one), I’ll give it that, but everything surrounding it is shockingly poorly executed.

The app feels incredibly amateurish and completely lacks the polish you’d expect from a paid product. Buttons are unresponsive most of the time, the interface is clunky, and even basic interactions are frustrating. It feels more like an unfinished beta than something that should be selling on the App Store.

For $17.99 CAD, this level of quality is unacceptable. Having a decent filter doesn’t excuse an app that barely functions properly. The user experience is so bad that it completely overshadows the one thing the app does reasonably well.

I’m genuinely baffled by the glowing reviews. Did everyone just overlook how poorly made the actual app is?

### 2/5 — Makes everything yellow

*2026-10-29*

Just makes everything yellow

### 2/5 — Extremely limited for the price

*2026-10-29*

This app is clearly best used in the outdoors or on a sunny day. Indoors or when it’s overcast it’s overly warm, turning any cool tones in an image a muddy grey-brown. Even with the temperature adjusted this renders the app pretty useless if you live in England as I do. This would be fine is there were options to toggle between settings for different lighting situations, or even if you were able to reduce the colour-shifts effects of the filter but this seems to be the one customisation not on offer in the settings. A shame there isn’t a free trial either as I would not have purchased the app knowing it had such heavy limitations for customisation.

### 2/5 — Crashes importing RAW!

*2026-10-29*

Crashes every time I try to import RAW photos I previously shot on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. App says I should be able to import previously shot RAW format from my photos. Does not work at all. Restarted and still no luck. Bummed as the photos I take in the app look great.

### 3/5 — Not bad

*2026-10-30*

### 3/5 — Great but needs fixes

*2026-10-30*

Great camera, using it right now, but the buttons for the zoom lenses on iOS need to be separated more from the shutter because, as I'm shooting, I keep pressing the zoom buttons.

Also, on the iPhone 18 Pro Max, you have 0.5, 1, and 4, but the ones in between are missing. You have to press the button to get to those levels, but for quick shooting, it really gets in the way.

Every time I open the app, it asks me for location permissions, which makes fast shooting also a problem. Overall, I love the app. I'm still using it right now. I'm loving it. Just needs those fixes

### 3/5 — it's alright

*2026-10-30*

Does colour nicely but lacks some quality-of-life features. Autoexposure is a bit dodgy and there is no denoising (which results in low-light photos having a lot of RGB "hurl"). A promising start if development continues, but i'll be disappointed if new features are not added in the future

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please improve UI flow

*2026-10-31*

I already love this app from a technical perspective. It takes beautiful photos immediately and the editing controls are lovely. I’ve used a lot of camera apps that do away with apple’s processing and this is on track to be my favorite. Unfortunately, some of the ui elements are in kind of baffling places, especially on the Duo. For example, when looking at the photos I took in the app, I can’t swipe down too close the gallery and the tiny button to go back to the camera is at the upper left of the screen, instead of somewhere easily reachable (like in the empty sidebar). I’m really hoping to see some minor ui tweaks that address this and other ease of use issues.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-10-31*

Amazing quality, been using as my main camera for now.

Feedback note: would be nice to have an option to mirror the front camera (don’t see that in the configurations unless I’m missing something).

### 5/5 — Okay, Rian

*2026-10-31*

I’ve never been super into taking pictures, I never think to. Tried this app out simply because of who helped make it and I gotta say I’ve been ANNOYING with the amount of pictures I’ve been taking

### 5/5 — good app

*2026-10-31*

I think this is a great app, but I have one feature request.

Please allow users to save multiple photo settings instead of just one, and make it possible to recall them like presets.

### 5/5 — Mayur

*2026-10-31*

Superb app. Just a small issue. The current version is unable to export on my iPhone XS Max. The app crashes. Otherwise, love the edits!!!

### 5/5 — Great app, more formats?

*2026-10-31*

I love how simple the app is to use, can we please get Sony AWR support?

### 5/5 — Absolutely Love This Camera App

*2026-10-31*

I’m extremely happy with this app! The cinematic image quality has so much character and personality. It produces genuinely beautiful photos with a unique look that I absolutely love.

Honestly, even at around ¥2,000, I think it’s well worth the price. It’s easily one of the best camera apps I’ve used.

I do have a few suggestions that would make it even better:

Level and Grid Guides: It would be great to have a built-in level indicator and grid lines to help with composition.
Video Recording: I would love to see video recording with the same cinematic look. Even better if it were available as a free feature or a one-time purchase rather than a subscription.
More Languages: Please consider adding support for more languages. It would make the app accessible to even more people around the world.

Overall, this is a fantastic app with a truly distinctive look. I’m really excited to see how it develops. Keep up the great work

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2026-10-30*

👍

### 5/5 — Grid lines

*2026-10-30*

Great app but think it's missing grid lines...

### 5/5 — Best iPhone Camera App

*2026-10-30*

I’ve tried so many weird 3rd party camera apps, and they all feel like pulling teeth at some point, but this has given me some genuinely shocking photos. It makes me appreciate even more what this sensor is capturing. Cannot recommend enough.
