## What is ChromaRetro?

A small, honest retro camera.

No feed. No account. No ads. Just a camera that takes photos that look like film.

TWENTY FILM STOCKS, NOT FILTERS
Each one has a code, a character, and the physical texture of the stock it's modelled
on. KP400 for creamy skin tones. TX400 for coarse-grained street black and white.
CS800T for neon nights. They're grouped the way film actually is — colour negative,
slide, black and white, motion picture, instant. All twenty are included.
Every stock previews on a sample photo, and what you see in the viewfinder is
exactly what gets saved.

REAL FILM TEXTURE, PER PIXEL
Grain, halation and light leaks are computed, not pasted on as a texture.
Highlights bloom with the warm red halo that only cine film has. Grain gets coarser
as the film speed rises. Instant film leaks light in from the edge.

A CAMERA YOU CAN FEEL
A dial selects the film, with a haptic click and a ratchet sound at every detent.
A two-stage shutter. And five shutter sounds synthesised from nothing but maths.

DATE STAMP
The classic camera date back: an orange digital stamp burned into the corner of the
photo, exactly like the film cameras that had one. It's baked into the pixels, not
an overlay — it's part of the photo forever.

A REAL SHUTTER SOUND
Five shutter sounds recorded from nothing but maths: a deep SLR clack, a light
rangefinder click, a dry leaf-shutter snap, a low medium-format thud, and an
instant camera that whirs out the print after the shutter. Tap to preview and pick
the one you like. It plays the instant you press the shutter, not a second later.

THE REST OF IT
· Tap to focus, pinch to zoom, 0.5x through 8x
· Front and back camera, 4:3 / 3:4 / 1:1 / 16:9 / 9:16
· Flash: off, auto, on, or a continuous torch for framing. The front camera has no
lamp of its own, so there the screen does the work — a warm full-screen fill
across the moment the shot is taken
· A date-and-place watermark you can set by hand — the photo's own time and GPS
  metadata stay true
· Frames, including a machined brass one
· A full photo editor (the darkroom): crop, rotate, mirror, brightness, contrast,
saturation, warmth, smooth, sharpen, vignette — and "restore original" that gives
you back the untouched file, byte for byte
· An album that shows your photos as film rolls, or as one timeline by date, with
  multi-select share, save and delete
· Save any shot to your phone's gallery — one tap per photo, or turn on "Save every
shot to your gallery too" in Settings
· Dark, quiet interface that stays out of the way of the picture

PRIVACY
No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no ads. Photos never leave your device.
Location is read once when you take a photo, only to write GPS into that photo's
EXIF — and there it stays. The one exception is the location watermark, which is
off by default: switch it on and your phone's own geocoding service turns those
coordinates into a street address to print on the photo.
